A lot of you people look completely different then I imagined.

For example, I always figured Juke looked like an intelligent person. BOY was I wrong about that!

:D j/k, Juke.

Here's a couple more of my ugly mug...

http://img280.echo.cx/img280/7439/rack0140na.jpg
I had just got my shoulder separated in my 3rd college football game during my freshman year. That pic was taken... ohhhh... about 45 lbs ago.

http://img280.echo.cx/img280/8247/rack0082oa.jpg
A Great Golden Rack hanging over Rack. I should have copped a feel for that pic. :banghead:

http://img280.echo.cx/img280/8589/rack0071si.jpg
Despite the bed post being in the pic, several people have seen this and thought I actually did go and lick the bum of a Dos Equis girl at the beach. It's a poster on my friend's wall. That would be a really good pic if not for the bed post. :)

http://img280.echo.cx/img280/1862/willowandgaby0029ie.jpg
Two of my dogs. Willow and Gaby.

http://img280.echo.cx/img280/7291/kody0375iq.jpg
Kody.

See, I don't need some big steroid filled dog to make me feel secure. I Have my Sig P220 for that. :D

Rack: How the heck did you ever figure me to look intelligent after seeing my Avatar??? Of course, I could never look as intelligent as you do while licking a poster. :)

And btw, I had an Alaskan Malamute and a Siberian Husky.

Great dogs...friendly as could be...horrible watch dogs....I'm thinking of getting a Siberian again.

Yeah huskies are horrible watch dogs. And they require lots of exercise too. But they are very good family dogs.

"tothewhipbill, jr.", age 7, and his old man last Easter Sunday. i was actually born with lips under that nose but we'd been flying kites that day so mine were all wind-beaten and pale. 46 years of "clean living" have left me with a face like an alligator handbag.

i've really enjoyed all of your pictures. you're a fine looking bunch of cowboys fans and the mental image of your wonderful faces really add a personal touch to all of your posts.

kudos to lanecity for a brilliant thread topic. :bravo:

I have a couple of really goofy ones ... I almost don't want to post them ... I might have to take some more ... I'm a technical idiot.

I loaded them to "my pictures" ... I don't know what to do next.

Go to imageshack.org (http://www.imageshack.org) and click 'browse.'

Find the pics, click open, and then upload.

Copy the html that says 'direct link.'

Come to the forum, click on the image icon, and past the html.

Don't let the name fool you....it is a KILLER movie.

These are some stars in the movie....

Christian Slater
Patricia Arquette
Dennis Hopper
Val Kilmer - if you get it see if you can spot him
James Gandolfini - plays a bad hit man
Christopher Walkin
Bronson Pinchot - remember Balki from the 80's,...funny part in this movie
Brad Pitt - Plays the stoner floyd
Samuel L Jackson
Michael Rappaport
Chris Penn and Tom Sizemore

And Gary Oldman plays one of the best roles in the film...the Pimp.

Quentin Tarantino actually wrote this movie but then sold the script when he was trying to get money to make res dogs.

Great movie IMO.

My sis, my dad, and me...taken last weekend.

Interesting thing...well, interesting to me...my dad has always been a very tough guy. He grew up in Bedford Stuyvesant which is a pretty tough neighborhood. It was only a few years ago that he stopped playing softball AND getting into fights on the field. :)

Anyway, life's dealt out some crap to him lately, my stepmom has ALS. We've all rallied around him. When this picture was taken, I put my arm around him...and I didn't notice, until I saw the picture, that he had reached up and taken my hand.

For my dad, that's big stuff.

He's been blessed with well behaved kids. We kept him young :D

Funny thing..a few years ago, he was at the gym shooting hoops...occasionally using his TWO HAND SET shot...he played basketball at Madison Square Garden for years...quite a big deal on the court.

Anyway, some kids at the other end of the court stopped to watch him...long story short, they asked if he wanted to get into their game...74 years old...with 5 kids in the late teens...playing a half court game.

Great stuff.

This is an older one. The hairline's gone back a bit more and there's a wee bit more gray in the facial hair is the only difference from now, though. I've never been one for having my picture taken, and this instance was no exception. The only other semi-recent ones were from when I was doing some landscaping earlier this year and ended up resembling a mud wrestler. My wife snuck a few and buried them on a disc somewhere so I can't get rid of them.

Oh, those aren't the blackmail pics. The blackmail pics are from around 11 years ago. My then lady friend was a picture taking fool. She thought one of the world's greatest inventions was the disposable camera. She snuck one along when we went to Myrtle Beach for a weekend and got pictures of me on the beach. A: I'm no Charles Atlas. B: I just look plain goofy in swimming trunks. C: She couldn't have waited until we'd been there for a while and I at least had some kind of tan.

The other was one she took after a night on the town when I was a little less, shall we say, coherent than normal. She had bought a pair of Speedos for me and had me pose, if it can be called that. It wasn't a horrible picture. The thing is, when you've got a person who spends most of their day inside at work, there's not a whole lot of color where the clothes are. On top of that, on some level I was still embarassed and my face was BEET red. I looked like a lollipop. :o:

I thought I had thrown the thing out after we broke up, but noooo. My wife found it, and even though I tossed it I just know she's got a scan of it someplace.

He's an actor....Enrico Colantoni. He's been in a few movies but he's probably more know for being on the tv show Just Shoot Me.

I'm more or less the opposite. Its not that I like cold. I just hate heat. Its very hot by Swedish standards here right now, around 90 F i think it would translate to. I hate it.

No doubt you live in one of the hottest places on this planet ...

I've always admired my family there for putting up with that heat. It gets hot in Texas of course, but you guys don't have it easy by any stretch. AZ is freakin' hot.

AZ is freakin' hot.You don't even notice it if you do certain things. Drink a lot of water. Other beverages dehydrate you. If you stay hydrated with water your body stays cool. Swim when you have the chance. Early evenings when the sun is going down is a great time. Take advantage of shade. Plant shade trees. Park in the shade. Worship air conditioning. If your house doesn't have A/C I recommend a lot trips to the Mall.

Good looking family you got there David including the dog :D

...was a rescue from a native organization up in Northern Saskatchewan. The owner of a convenience store on the reserve said the mother came out of the bush with three pups. One male plus Eunice and her sister. The mom went back into the bush with the male and left the two sisters under the steps of the convenience store.

A lady rescued the dogs and had all the shots given and the girls spayed. My office administrator took one dog and when our 17 year old Springer passed on she asked the kids if they wanted a new puppy.

My wife didn't want another dog right away given that the loss of our old dog, Agnes, was so rough. But in the end Eunice won over my wife's heart and a place in our home.

The kids came to us in a more conventional sense. :)

You have a beautiful family David... and you hold up the tradition of our male members marrying out of their league... ;)

... my wife happened to be a devout feminist and thinks that football is the pastime of barbarians.

Right now she is watching a BBC production of holy women of the ages and their contributions to the feminist movement.

She doesn't want me corrupting the children with this "bloodsport" as she calls it.

The boys love Madden and when football season is on love to preplay the games that are going to be on Sunday afternoon.

I told her she can't take away that most boys love guns, cars/trucks, more horsepower and contact sports.

Sunday afternoon is her poetry and tea club. Sometimes it also a double header with the Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging) club.

My daughter follows her Mom in interests.

How did you get the one son too stand still while the seal was kissing him? lol

...the seal happens to be Banny and the kids were playing with him for about 5 minutes before the picture was taken.

They had the opportunity to feed him and play with him while he was practicing his routine.

When it was time for a picture my son was not scared or paranoid of being kissed by the animal.

It's already hitting 115

It's been in the 100's here all week. It was 111 on Tuesday, 109 on Wednesday and 105 yesterday. We finally saw rain this morning... first rain since late April... And boy did we need it. Only got a tenth of an inch, but it's better than nothing...

We ought to see some really wicked weather next week with Hurricane Emily. If it is nearly as rowdy as my daughter Emily... We are in for it.

BTW... We will be seeing a Hurricane Tammy (I predict Cat. 5) this season.... Y'all should have been nicer to me... LMAO

We have been in the upper 90's for around a month now.

Now sure that is not bad compared to the 100's but the humidity has been terrible. IT is so bad that it has been hazy every day and Just going out and walking in the yard makes you sweat so bad it stings your eyes.

We have finally gotten a decent, although short lasting, rain the last couple of days...the first we have had since the first days of june.

It has been so bad that my wife's grandfather, who lives next door, his yard looks like it is the Fall season because his yard is covered with dry, brown dead leaves.

Now myself I don't want no rain....this is the least I have mowed grass as far back as I can remember. And normally if I go beyond 5 days of mowing grass it can actually stall out the lawn mower at times....these past 2 1/2 months I bet I have only mowed maybe 3-4 times and two of those times was only to get the one weeds that bees mess with (dandelions ?).

Crossed my mind as well, Danny..and adbutcher's too. :)

But we're confident enough to deal with it...

...maybe because we didn't get beat with quite as big an ugly stick as Gibbs' bunch did.

Actually that was bought in 1987 at Mitchell & Ness, it's a Russell authentic game jersey. I bought several of them there before I left Philadelphia in 88, I have two Herschel Walkers, Dorsett, Bates, Randy White, and Danny White, Aikman and Emmitt Smith, all authentic Russells before they changed in 1994 (to Apex).

Funny thing about how I got to get these guys in the pic though, I was invited to go to Richmond, VA for a card show by a guy who I used to work with who happened to go to high school with Drew back in NJ. He kept in touch with Drew all those years, Drew got him into the locker room sometimes after the games when he played and this guy met a LOT of players back in the late 70's and early 80's.and asked me if I would like to meet him and a few other old-school Cowboys and of course I wasn't going to turn that down. So we get there and here comes Too Tall and Renfro and my buddy had them autograph a ball and their pics for me beforehand and they gave them to me right before this pic was taken. Later that day my buddy calls Tony Hill on the phone after we got back and I talked to him for a while, mostly about the final regular season game in 79, which I still have vivid memories of. What an awesome day.

Well, I was messing with this a bit to bring more clarity to the picture because it's such a great shot...

But the difference is only minimal... :banghead:
