It looks like the rule might pass as soon as today, and I was thinking how this will end up affecting the way Roy plays defense. It got me thinking -
If Roy wasn't forced to play out of position (FS) how often will this really be an issue. If Zipperhead would actually let him play at the LOS then I think we'll see less of this as he likely won't be caught out of position in the open field.
Thoughts?

Roy is the least of our problems, he will be fine. Although i think some fans are losing sleep and walking in circles worring about the almighty collar rule. Last season was last season, half the defense seemed to be out of position. Roy will adjust, life will go on.

Kudos, that is a very valid point.
He still uses the tackle quite a bit, but he was in the open field too much last year and that is where his lack of speed was a liability. That had more to do with it than anything else.

This is great, so long as ball carriers are not allowed to break tackles or fight for extra yardage. :P
