CHICAGO SUN-TIMES (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050613/REVIEWS/50525003/1023)
Roger Ebert gives it 4 starts.
ROTTEN TOMATOES (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/batman_begins/)
It is getting an 86% at Rotten Tomatoes - really good.
I saw it two weeks ago in LA and it is fantastic. Let me know what y'all think once you see it. I can use it in some articles I'm writing.

I know it may not be your specialty, but what about the new video games coming out about the movie?
I usually get one game during the summer. So far, BB looks great. But then again, a lot of games look great but wind up stinking. The only good Batman game, IMO, was the one on the NES......
Have you heard about the Batman Begins PS2 game?

I actually got one early from Warner Bros and EA. It is REALLY good! Sort of like Splinter Cell. But all the reviews of it have been really high as well.

Not a knock on Batman but games of movies almost always suck. Chronicles of Riddick has been the exception to the rule.

^ D, you are right, except this one is an exception to the rule. As was the SPIDER-MAN 2 game. I got it for my son, and uh, kinda played it myself. ;)
How did you fall into (or work your way into) this Batman gig?

Just saw it here in SLC. Fantastic, best Batman movie yet. About time someone realized that the comics are dark and the villans darker. I really liked the setup and the character development. Everytime I saw Katie Holmes, though, I could only think about Tom Cruise.

I saw it at lunch today....simply AWESOME. Really blew me away. More of a "film" than a "super hero movie" to be honest. I can't wait for a sequel!

Here's my review--

I've seen it 3 times. Everytime I've watched it - and once was with the media and critics in Hollywood - the audience has stood and applauded at the end.
Keep you takes coming. I'm using them and you can read 'em at

I just got back from watching it the 3rd time. Absolutely loved this film.Of course I'm a lifelong Bat-fan. Only gripe I have is the editing on some of the fight scenes. Also love your site Jett. Discovered it a couple of years ago, and it's the No. 1 place to go for Bat info.
On a side note, Movies.com has said it's between Crispin Glover and Mark Hammill to play The Joker, but your site has stated Lachy Hulme is the choice, so what's the deal?

Glad you like BOF. Mark Hammill is not up for the role, trust me. Hulme is in the mix - WB has gone as far as to do mock-ups of him as the Joker. Glover's "people" are really pushing him for the part.
I'm going to see it again tonight with my two oldest kids. And spread the word guys! This is a really good film that I'm sure you will enjoy - even if you are not a huge Bat-fan.
