What does ESPNU have as regular programming? I have dishnetwork, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, ESPNClassic. I can't believe they needed another one, greedy bastids.

Mostly the previous season's college football games. But there's other must-see stuff, like high school hoops, amateur baseball, and reruns of those gawd awful ESPN "movies".

Now why would you go and do something foolish like that?
And as a disturbing sidenote, Demarcus Ware has not done much.
I thought this was supposed to be one of his biggest games?

Nope. Ware had two tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries in the game. Spears had two sacks (for 22 yards in losses) and four other tackles for loss. He led LSU with nine solo tackles (the next-most was five).

The offensive tackle that Ware is going up against, Andrew Whitworth, is projected to be a 1st round pick in next year's draft. NFL Draft Countdown has the Cowboys taking him with their 1st round pick in their first mock draft.

I would take those stats every week...

I would recommend every Cowboy fan to watch this game.
It shows both of our first round draft choices.
I have to say, it looks like we reached with Ware and got a steal in Spears when you see them in that context.

I was at this game, and I remember LSU having a lot of trouble against the Troy DL (particularly running the ball), but most of the penetration was from the Troy DT's.

Don't you feel there is a slight difference in competition when Spears is going up against a no-name Troy State offensive tackle and Ware is going up against a tackle who will be a 1st round draft pick.
I would recommend every Cowboys fan watch the Senior Bowl.

Sorry but when your facing the the a potential#1 Draft pick, then your not gonna have a greattime. ware was not a reach he was the IMO the nest player on that Defense, and he was on a team that wasnt all that good.

considered by everyone the best pass rusher in the draft...reportedly rated by some teams a top-5 pick...doesnt sound like much of a reach to me

I hate to say this, but if he has the same type of season that he had this year, I seriously doubt that. Whitworth got pushed around a LOT this year.
Marcus had a great game vs. Troy. I was there, and I had a lot of fun watching that game. He played awesome.

Football is still a team game, and let's try to remember this is LSU (previous season's National Champions) against "TROY"....I wouldn't get too excited about Spears or too down about Ware.
