My take on some of the rumblings from Valley Ranch after some time away:

1. I like the acquisition of Testeverde. He knows what Parcells wants in a QB and he can teach the youngsters what BP is looking for. Who starts will really depend on the OL, IMO. If BP feels this OL can pass protect reasonably well, Testeverde should start. He is the better QB. However, if the OL is swiss cheese, QC can run for his life.

2. I am very concerned of the RB position. We have no idea if Jones can do the job on a full time basis. And if he can't, who is going to spell him? Anderson? He is a third down guy who can catch out of the backfield. He can't do the tough slogging between the tackles. As for the rest?

Pardon me if I don't jump for joy. None of these guys have proven a thing. We need a reliable backup who is good for 600-800 yards. I don't see that in either of these 3 guys. We need a reasonably good back....badly.

3. Another concern is CB. Asking Pete Hunter to go up against , Terrel Owens, Lavernous Coles and Amani Toomer twice a year is asking for trouble. He shows promise, but it is completely unknown if he can handle these guys. If Newman gets injured, we are dead. Another CB is needed.

4. The "Jap plays" comment is much ado about nothing. I'm Italian and my buddies call me "The Wop". I get Guido and Rocco jokes thrown at me all the time. Big deal. I'm proud of my heritage and I give as much as I take. People need to get themselves a sense of humor.

5. I am really torn about the AB incident. I would hate to see him released and have him to the Redskins or Eagles and flourish. But on the other hand, by turning the other way, what precedent is BP setting for this team? What are the young guys seeing here? BP talks tough, but when push comes to shove Parcells won't do anything. That is not a good environment.

I bought a AB jersey for my son shortly after AB was drafted. He wears it with pride. I wish AB would do the same.

The best thing would be for AB to return and apologize to the BP and the team. However I don't think he is mature enough to do that.

While I would like to have a more proven commodity to backup Jones.. The question is what veteran are you going to get to come in? I cant really think of anyone other than Antwaine Smith that has any really starting experience at this point...

The same goes with the CB position... Who is really out there that is worth bringing in?

I think lots of people like to bring up that they think Jimmy Johnson would have cut AB if he'd been coach... I dont know if I agree.. Jimmy treated everyone differently depending on how they performed... Spags made a reference to Irvin and someone in the ranch report today in a situation with Irvin and some other player.. the other guy got cut. Irvin had a 2 series suspension.. so its all about the player involved.... And dont forget it was just a couple weeks before that Bill was commending AB for the work he had been doing in the offseason..

1. Agreed.
2. Stacey Mack, Antowain Smith, Adrian Murrell...not time to panic
3. Thornton keeps playing well he could start and Hunter could be option #3. Looks like we are going with what we got!
4. Oversensatized America strikes again.
5. BP will do the right thing. AB apologize? He better be on his knees kissing BP's @$$.

And if Ty Law can continue to completely piss off Bellicheck/Pioli with his dog and Pony Sybill act - we have the second corner. Please no Thornton is the answer this year.

This is the same excuse used by the Hutchers last year. If Quincy beats out Vinny for the starting job (which I'm pretty sure he will), it will be because he was the best QB in TC and Preseason.

NOT just because he's better at dodging pressure.
