Sorry if this is a re-post,but I just saw this today.....

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.

Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.
Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker...
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh?

This has been around awhile and it's pretty interesting.

The problem with this last part is that Marilyn Monroe died in 1962, more than a year before JFK died, so I sorta doubt he was "with" Marilyn a week before he died.

The rest of it is pretty good though.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.

Lincoln wasn't especially concerned with civil rights. His stance on slavery was more about restoring the Union (the South had broke off into the Confederate States of America with their own President) as opposed to freeing slaves.

Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

No record of a secretary for Lincoln named Kennedy.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.

Booth was not a southerner. He was a Marylander. He was a sympathizer of slavery though.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Booth was born in '38.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

The names of the VPs were also both 13 letters long -- Andrew Johnson and Lyndon Johnson.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

Booth wasn't exactly assassinated, if memory serves. He was cornered by the police in a barn and refused to come out or drop his gun. The barn was set on fire to drive him out. He still wouldn't come out. He was shot. The police then went into the fire and saved Booth. They took him to a hospital where he died later.

Still, there are some interesting coincidences there. Here's some more obscure ones:
