I was just wondering...
On any given weekend during the offseason except draft weekend I've noticed that there are normally around 60-80 members here.
But During the WORK day Monday - Friday the number of members here are well over 130+ I just signed back in to look at updates and there where 161 members currently logged in.
So my question is, is everyong here logged on from work and do you visit while your not at work?
Me I Co-own my own business and work from home more than I do from the office. and I'm check the updates here atleast 2+ times every day.
Just wondering....
BTW how many of you logging in from work would get into trouble if your bosses found out?
and for you bosses out there do you mind your employees going to sites like this during their work day?
Me I don't mind as long as its doesn't cause problems in their work.

I am off and on the site all day. Either on here, checking on planes, getting coffeee at the BX, or listening to NFL radio.

I remember days like that with a little spades thrown in for fun....Military isn't for everyone but man for some of us we loved it. Best part of my life USN

Pretty much if I am not flying, then I am not doing much of anything, therefore, I stay on this site and my outlook exprees. I am pretty sure it would be frowned upon if my Supervisors knew that this is how I spent my free time, but oh well, until they catch me and tell me not too, I will still be on here everyday.

Spades, hearts, Yuker, Dominoes, and Bid Whist (yes I said Bid Whist :D) were all 3rd shift games. I spent most of my 9 years in AWANCS on 3rd shift, or in Saudi
As a civilian on a government contract you really cant play cards all day. Its not very professional. Besides we only have 3 people in our office. You CAN however look at anything Norton Web Security doesnt block. I mod over at an accord site so I babysit there and post here most of the day.
BTW my new JVC KT-SR2000 Sirius receiver and home kit should be in soon. I admit it I am addicted to NFL Radio

One thing we like to do in the squadron when we arent flying is play chess or spider solitare, lol. On deployments, we always spen a lot of our down time playing Madden or Halo.........I agree; the military is not for everyone, but I love the heck out of it. Not to mention the sense of pride you get when you help some F-15s go bomb the hell out of bad guys!!! I'm sure you guys know what I mean.

I D.J. in two different clubs for the same company four nights a week. So,my daytimes are usually free with the exception of an occasional errand or two.Logging in in the daytime is great, but my "daytime " is about 3 to 5:30 in the mornings. There isn't as many pop-ups to deal with at that time of the morning.Makes for better reading.

I look at work but never post from there. Too busy. I was able to post today because I'm taking a couple of weeks off before the school year starts back up (elementary principal).
I visit this site to get my Cowboy's fix as well as a site that promotes my other hobby, woodworking.
Here's a chest I built from mesquite.

Work??! Oh yeah, that leave your house by 8:00 and are home by 5:00 gig.
If engineering has a good day me and my systems have a lot of free time away from each other. I wouldn't think my boss would mind as long as my job is getting done.
As for home use.......two very little people prevent me from doing ANYTHING I want to do!!

Very nice scotman. I too, love to work with wood but am not as nearly as gifted as yourself. I used to do it for a living but found that doing it that way sucked for me. Do you sell your stuff?

I work nights so I am on usually in the morning after work and then again in the afternoon after a nap. And I get on on weekends at all hours since working the night shift really screws up the ole clock in the head.
I can't get on at work; just no time.

I sell a few high-end pieces a year. But, it is truly just a hobby. I mill my own lumber and build from tree to furniture. But you'd be amazed at what I'd have to charge to make any money at it. The piece you see there sold for about $1200. But, it took about $500 worth of mesquite, $125 in hardware and about 50 hours to complete (not including milling or drying the lumber) So, not accounting for the cost of keeping my shop up and running, I made around $575 for 50 hours of work. Not big money even though the piece was very expensive.
I make more as an elementary principal. Plus, as long as it's not a business for me, I can pick and choose what I work on.
Thanks for the kind words. Didn't mean to highjack the thread.

I work out of my home office. So I'm either here in front of the computer, or I'm out soliciting business from my mortgage broker's. My company provides me with a blackberry device so I can get my e-mail while I'm on the road... unfortunately, I can't visit the Zone on it though.
So, anytime I'm home (3-5 days/week + Sat and Sun) I have a window open here. Usually, Wed and Thursday are the only two days I'm out driving around... So most of the time, I'm keeping an eye on this site.
Scotman... Very, very nice work there... I'd kill to be able to build something like that. My wifey would keep me working around the clock, lol.
