Some buddies and I are going down this year for the Philly game. Just wondering of the people going to games that don't live in Dallas area, what game(s) did you decide to go to and why?

For us, it was matter of work schedule and the fact that seeing us beat the stuffing out of the skins each time we went got old. We wanted to see them mess up a worthy opponent. Maybe see a good shot on T.O.

4 more days!

I'm heading to the Denver game over Thanksgiving. No real reason just a friend of mine is a broncos fan and talked about wanting to go. We are trying to get our future wives (he gets married on July 30th and myself Sept. 10th) to buy us the tickets as wedding presents. Hopefully it works

I have been to about 10 games over the last 30 years.

To be honest with you I much prefer to watch the game on TV in the comfort of my home.

(1) I can actually see the action on my TV screen. In person it is difficult to make out the action on any play less than 10 yards.

(2) I can go to me fridge anytime I want

(3) I don't have to have $ 100 for bear and snacks

(4) I can get to the bathroom and back during commercial breaks

(5) My recliner is comfortable

(6) I don't have some idiot screaming in my ear. (the only idiot screaming is me :D )

(7) I don't have to deal with the traffic to and from the game

Not a regular season game but I do have tickets to the Cardinal pre-season game.
I went to a monday night game in Dallas.....Packers were there. Game ended up 9-3. A field goal fest. I did have a blast though. A friend of mine hooked me up as a birthday gift. Paid airfare, hotel the whole works. Also paid for the bungee jump in downtown Dallas.....I'd do it again!!

I feel for ya Eddie, living in the NY metro area myself. I saw the Boys beat the Patriots 12-6 in Dallas in 96. Only time I've been there and it was all FG's...

Great experience, boring game. I was 5 rows back on the 20, right in front of our cheerleaders :)

One of my riding buddies has family Giants season tickets, were going in December to see the Dallas game. They are not even football fans per say, but have had the tickets in the family for years.

I have seen about 10 Dallas games, most in Giants stadium...Gillette and Foxborough...and one in San Fran with my bro-inlaw, who still hates me because we kicked their butt.

Really going to try to get to the 12/24 Panthers game in Charlotte, although Christmas eve might be a hard sell. That might be a BIG game for both clubs. I live here in NC and December weather is very fickle, no telling what the conditions will be like. Balmy or cold, sleet.

OK if I understand the question right

I'm not in dallas and plan on going to the Dallas at Readskins 12/18 game and Dallas at Carolina 12/24 I live in just north of Richmond so these two games are ok game day drives for me.

Just bought my tix today! VS Giants on Oct16! The boys were 7-0 when I attended, but that streak ended last year against Pitts. That game single handedly ended our season and catapulted theirs. Never seen so many of the opposing teams fans in my life. Its payback for the Giants!

No. I've spent some time in Dallas and Fort Worth.

I've been to the Stockyards, Dealy (sp) Plaza and the State Fair.

My friends have suggested we travel to Austin and San Antonio.

Do you have any suggestions for things to do/see?

Austin - Lake Travis, 6th street / 5th street on weekend nights

San Antonio - River Walk, The Market, and any highly rated Mexican restaurant not on the River Walk.

You might also want to consider swinging through Fredericksburg. It is NE of San Antonio between Austin and San Antonio. It is a bit out of the way but is a nice drive through orchard country. Fredericksburg is an old German settlement that has a pretty neat ambiance. And fairly good beer and food.

I hope to get tickets for the October 23 game in Seattle. Scratch that, I will get tickets, I just hope I don't have to pay scalper's prices ;)

I won't be going to the preseason game as I don't intend to take a day off work for it, I have a trial that starts the next day and it is a long drive to watch scrubs.

My wife bought me a new Keyshawn Johnson jersey so we now can both wear one, she can be Roy Williams and I can be Key.

JK, I used to live in DC so the Cowboys/redskins game is a annual ritual for me, however, I just moved to Charlotte so I will be at the Carolina game as well. If you want to do the tailgate thing, DannyWhite on this board has a really good one at fed-ex field. Also, If your interested,I would be willing to do one at BOA Stadium. Just let me know.

My wife decided we're going to Botcon(Transformers convention) this year, and it's in Frisco, TX, so of course I decided we had to go to a game while we are there, lucky for me it's a Monday Night affair against the 'skins with the triplets being inducted. Also going to the KC game as I live in KC and was going to this game no matter what, wish it was in KC, but oh well.

I am going to San Diego for the season opener with a group of 5 other friends from work.

Several of us form this site are going to the Cardinals game in pre season in Tempe.

A friend from Plano, TX asked me last week if I'd come to the Thanksgiving Day game with him if he gets tickets. The company he works for has tickets. He is one of 4 guys who may get the tickets. He is from Atlanta and a Falcons fan, but said he would go to the game with me if he wins.

Openning Day in San Diego. I cannot wait. It is the perfect pre-wedding (Oct 2) getaway for myself and future wife. I am only going to go to one game so far, as i need to save up $$ for SB XL in FEB. DALLAS/INDY looks like a great matchup (a la giants/buffalo).

I usually go to 1 Boyz game per year (mostly in the Northeast --ie Buffalo, NY, Det, or Ohio).

Another one of my friends is a Browns fan and the way to get to a Browns fan is after one of their many losses tell them hey at least you all have won a Super Bowl and say oh wait that was the Ravens. When the Ravens won the Super Bowl we called our buddy to congratulate him on the win telling him the Browns did it they won the Super Bowl then he hung up and wouldn't answer his phone the rest of the day.

the one I am referring to happened in 90's (12/10/94)? I think the cowboys were down 4 or 5 and in the redzone with less than two minutes left...Aikman hit Novacek in the middle who slipped or was tripped up at the one and fell inches short of the winning TD. I was so pissed that I punched a dent into the roof of my lemon. lol.
