Is it possible that Thornton, Frasier or any other of the excess CB's might make decent FS's if given the chance.....it is certainly worth a try. What do you guys think? Maybe I have missed a thread that has already suggested this. If so disregard.

Honestly, it is a bit late to be converting guys this far into pre-season. If they were going to do that it would have had to start back in the mini camps and even then the guys we have are so young it would probably take more than just this pre-season to make the transition.
Anthony Henry played Safety as a rookie so I guess if we got that desperate we could move him to FS when needed but IMO he is our best CB so moving him would cost us more than we would be willing to pay.
Personally, I would just as soon stick Beriault at FS and let him learn as he goes. I like the idea of having two hard-hitting guys at Safety and he can't be that much worse than Davis at this point but with more upside.
I still don't think FS is going to be that much of an issue for us since we will very likely see 3 CBs in coverage a lot anyway.

Over Jerry's dead body will that happen. We're paying him too much to sit there and play centerfield.

I think they would have already made any such moves if they could have. We are stuck with what we have right now.
But they are looking for a vet out there and I suspect someone interesting will get released.
And as always there is always the "bring back George Teague" league-ion of fans out there. (for you Hos)

I believe Davis will upgrade his game and start. I like his attitude, he and Roy will be a killer twosome.
