I'd say pre-season illusion.

I've seen him miss too many short FG's.

I think he is doing a really good job on the kickoffs....Anything in the endzone is good enough for me.

Billy Cundiff made a lot of FGs, but doesn't seem to be the answer for a lot of people. I don't like Cortez much, i just remember him missing a lot

Cortez has looked very good on kickoffs.

cortez was up in minnesota as a kickoff specialist so no surprise his kickoffs look good.

That simply won't happen. He is one of the best 2 perhaps 3 kickers in the league. No matter how much he shoots off his mouth or his QB talks him down he won't be cut.
