For those still bashing bledsoe.....

Sure his numbers weren't awe inspiring and yes it's still preseason, but I've said all along when he's given time he still has one of the biggest arms in the NFL....now just think in a few weeks, with more practice and fine tuning....those deep passes he missed will be sure fire touchdowns come september. I'm actually a little surprised parcells showed as much as he did considering we play this team in the regular season. In any event I'm content with the way Bledsoe looked tonight. I know the skeptics will point to the sack and pass that should have been intercepted, but I look at the positives and that TD drive late in the first half was huge i thought. Hopefully he continues to improve as each week passes.

Thoughts about the receiving corps: Witten was very quiet tonight, wanted to see a big play or two but oh well. I said before that it's not just Keyshawn/Glenn who are going to be factors, but that Crayton would emerge as a big play threat for Bledsoe. And from what I've seen that is definitly a scenario that will play out. I'm also wondering if Morgans days are numbered.

Also sidenote: Demarcus Ware is an absolute stud!

Sean Salisbury was really giving him a good report after the game. Continually said Bledsoe needs time to step up and if he gets the time he will deliver. He also said Bledsoe tends to hold on the ball longer than he should. Somehitng BP will probably be sure to point out to him.

He always holds the ball a bit longer than he should, there's no question. Its because he's always looking for the big play. That was his downfall in buffalo after the 02 season because they didn't have the line to protect him.

If the guy could ever live with the short passes, he wouldn't be sacked nearly as much. Hopefully he will improve that aspect finally this season. He's going to have to, we can't go deep every play. And there will be games when we struggle to run the ball or create offense.

Another point i forgot to make...the bledsoe run...it was almost hysterical watching that play..but if he can do that from time to time when the defense gives it to him, it will be huge for this offense. No defense respects him as a mobile QB, so if he could catch them off guard it would be great, but im not going to hold my breath in wait for him to transform into mike vick anytime soon.

Yet he was erratic in his accuracy again but he is a 57% career completion guy no surprise. He was lucky on the int it looked much like the Henson throw that was picked.

He did not play well at all he played about what he has for the last 2.5 years about average.

Witten was quiet because Bledsoe didn't get him the ball. He was open a couple of times and Drew missed him.

I felt Bledsoe did a decent job, nothing spectacular but a good outing for him. As for Romo and Henson both have a lot more work to do

Also in defense of Bledso last night. I don't think they were trying to get the ball to Witten at all.
He was used to pick up the third down biltzing outside LB's. Which he did well.

Bledsoe will be fine with good pass protection...but none of our starters can really miss anytime...the backups are a sieve, especially the tackles...

someone asked several weeks ago who the most indispesable offensive player was and I was laughed at for saying Flozelle Adams...anyone want to keep laughing? we'll have about zero passing game if Adams gets hurt, because those other guys who play T cant block a lick

Bledsoe needs to utilize the TE position more, and screen passes to whomever.

That would keep the D honest and give him more opportunities for the big plays that he likes.

I thought going to Dallas with Witten on the roster he was put in the best situation that anyone could ask for.

Again, he just needs to utilize the tools that he has.

I'm sure he will, I think they were trying to get the WR involved lastnight and not rely soley on Witten. We know what Witten can do.

The sack was a nice stunt by the defense. Nothing DB could do on that one. He missed the safety on the pass to Witten but overall he threw well and moved well, made good decisions. That's a lot like the formula we'll be seeing all year and I for one liked most of what I saw last night.

I more pleased with Bledsoe this week than last. He played better but he didn't knock my socks off and he didn't show me that he is indeed the best QB we've had here since Aikman. He might have the "best name" but performance wise he's not there yet. The throw that should have been picked was not just a very bad decision but his feet were moving like he was dancing a jig and the ball didn't have much behind it. I think the jury is still out on Mr. Bledsoe.
