Time for the journey to begin

As BP has stated several times, Lynn Scott is a journeyman. BP knows what he can do in game situation and isn't really comfortable with it. This is the reason why I feel the new FS are being brought in. Its not so much about Davis, he can play and make a difference. I've seen him too many times make plays and deliver nice hits. Scott doesn't have this ability at FS, maybe SS but not FS. Bp doesn't want anpther year of Scott in deep center if anything happens to Davis, thus we have other FSs being brought in to take Scotts place. Especially like he and Dixon stole money last season. IMHO, Davis has the job, but BP has to justify him not being on STs and in case of emergency, he has a true FS to fill in.

I've been a bit out of touch the last couple of days; who did we pick up and where did he come from? Anyone have a Bio and/or scouting report on him?

I don't think Bill is truly happy with any safety except Williams and he probably chews on him daily. But I think he has hopes for Berryo and Davis.

He knows what he is getting from Scott but not the others. And you are right about Scott being just a journeyman. He's not a real playmaker. He is a marginal starter. Very marginal.

I suspect he's still looking at options for a starter at FS as well as a backup. I'm not sure anybody with a better ceiling is available at the right price....now.

But Davis could be the man already and I may be wrong.
