Jerruh's pre-Game comments very interesting:

Said that in practice Henson "grades out the best of our 3 QBs" in 7 on 7 drills because they've kept track of all of the plays. However, in game situations his numbers go down. We need to see better numbers in game situations.

Romo is an excellent athlete with a lot of moxie, but we need to see that he will be able to protect the ball.

i heard that comment...in my opinion, by the sound of jerry's voice he didn't seem very impressed with romo.

Then what QB's are all the reporters JJT, Mosely, and our very own Dale been watching in practice out at Oxnard? I have read each of them suggest Henson is looking by far the worst overall.......what gives?

Thank God Parcells makes football decisions now.

Becaus they're probably watching the 11 on 11 drills.

The fact that Jerry is hyping Henson based on his 7 on 7 drills is really kind of funny. He wants Henson to play so bad he can't stand it.

Agreed - very negative tone. He also seemed to be voicing what sounded like a consenus summary (among the staff).

I was extremely surprised to hear his comments - if you believe the papers / reporters, Romo is light-years ahead of Henson.

Either that is not the case, or Jerry is now playing head games like Tuna.

If it were the consensus of the coaching staff, its strange that Romo is playing #2 tonight.

Let's not forget that it was widely reported in the newspapers that Anthony Wright was outperforming Quincy Carter in camp. There was no way in hell Jerry was going to play Anthony Wright over his "QB of the Future".

Well, all reports also say that Henson is getting better.

Its not unexpected that JJ wants Henson to play, but I don't think its coloring his judgement. It's just a factual summary of the tracking that they do in camp. Nothing more and nothing less.

Besides, Parcells makes all decisions on the football field. It's in his contract. :)

Not suprising, what I have seen, Hensen has looked good and obviously is the future!
He had a slow start due to a hand injury...
Tough guy, super future!

You can't tell what they're seeing on film in meetings. Maybe Romo looks good, but is dumping off too many balls instead of making the difficult throws. Looks great on the field to the fans and press, but doesn't hold up in review.

You never know.
