After watching the 1st team offense sputter in the 1st quarter and then move at will during that drive in the 2nd quarter, I wonder if Parcells is holding back and not showing all his cards til the regular season begins. Could have been all the penalties too, but was wondering what everyone thinks?

Yes. I think it's downright sneaky that Parcells is having them practice penalties like that. :)

Maybe the Texans came out fired up, but whore down quickly in the heat.

I am deeply concerned about the offense though. Right now S.D. would just blow us up.

There's a lot of truth in that about San Diego.

I'm not ready to proclaim our "offense has arrived" after scoring a whopping 7 points in one half.

One person noted that on the touchdown drive Gurode had replaced AJ at center. I haven't seen the game to know if it was different. One thing I do know, I sure hope our two free agent acquisitions are available to play against San Dieog (i.e. Ferguson and Rivera).

I think I'd want Gurode in there against San Diego's 348lb nose tackle. I don't want to see Johnson try to finesse Jamal Williams.

That's the impression I get. It seems BP is playing simple base on both sides of the ball. In the second quarter I noticed the RB's staying in the backfield on pass plays and this is when Bledsoe did well

Is it too late for a 43YO to get signed? :)

Not sure about that. Seattle's offense is no slouch and we manhandled them.

Yes..those Northern teams don't deal with the heat very well :)

Anyway, still concerned about how we look coming out of the gate.
