My Favorite football movie is:

The Dallas Cowboys: A complete history 1960-2003
2 disc set

or

Dallas Cowboys: How the east was won.

My all time favorite is Brian's Song. The original by the way. There is just something about it that makes it a great story. The fact that it is true just makes it even better.

You have 2 rookies struggling to make it together. To defeat racial tensions then overcome so much. Just an all around great movie.

Remember the Titans is a very close 2nd for me.

Remember the Titans is my favorite on that list, because I absolutely love everything that Denzel Washington is in....I also like The Program, especially the part that they took out of the movie, where the guys lay down in the middle of the street...

Good idea, Hos!

Speaking of which.. the Cowboys 2003 yearbook is finally coming, it's on the NFL Network this year (channel 212) at 8:30am EST on 7/5/04.

I voted for the Waterboy though Longest Yard is a close second. Waterboy was just an excellent all around flick.

I love this movie too. My favorite scene is where the guy asks if he gets to hit the walking boss. I also like the wreslting match in the swamp where they are filling each other's boots and pants with mud. The broken neck scene is an all time classic. X-rays of the guards injuries so they can focus on them is just great too.

I had a gut feeling this movie would win, and that few if any would vote for North Dallas Forty.

One of my favorite scenes in a comedy is when the prison team gets off the bus to scrimmage the college team and the prison players are all NFL Hall of Famers like Randy White. BTW, that movie was shot north of Dallas too.

I was goin to mention this one. May be a bit embarrassing, but I enjoyed it. I liked Any Given Sunday, but the eyeball scene just ruined it for me. I think Oliver Stone could use a good kick to the head.

If I were a ND fan then Rudy would be up there, but I'm not so...

From the list, I'd go with Brain's Song. Good movie.

1971 version. James Caan and Billy Dee Williams.

Without a doubt, "Brian's Song" w/ James Caan and ("The Denzel" b4 there was a Denzel) Billy Dee Wiliams , not to mention Abe Gibron, Jack Concannon, Ed O'Bradovich, Dick Butkus and Harold 'Happy' Hairston.

... There's not even a close second!!

Tu's coaches line at the end of North Dallas 40 was classic.

I thought Remember the Titans was too syruppy, it was trying too hard to pull at your heart strings. Rudy with racial tensions.

Any given Sunday was terrible. Stone was taking some serious medication during filming. Let's have 3 million close ups, he managed to make Cameron Diaz look bad.

The longest Yard in a landslide.

As much as I hate ND, Rudy is my favorite.

By the way, what's wrong with you guys?

All the Right Moves doesn't make the list?

Did any of you guys play High School Football?

The sheot-faced Tom Cruise soliloquy at the party is a classic, "... and on the seventh day, they all played football. 6-2 STACK MONSTER; 6-2 STACK MONSTER !!!!"

Lea Thompson in the flesh? Fugetaboudit!

DC, your reply reminds me of one of my favorite Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy:

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
