Peerless Price signed yet???

Are you kidding me? Our Weapons are a comedy show - Keyshawn Johnson has fallen off quicker than Ickey Woods - this is a chance for Fatcells & JJ to make amends for not bringing in a top shelf WR - when all he has is "Me and She"

Get it done Clowns...

Keyshawn was a few yards short of 1000 last yr how has he fallen off??? He had Vinny T throwing him the football too, this board is full with a bunch of haters and idiot wanna-be GMs. There is a reason why you are on the Cowboys board typing and not at VR, remeber that please!

a) MeShawn was never that good - Chrebet took the lights away from him in NYC

b) He is slower than a Molina brother running to 1st base...

Yeah...I would be real hesitant in signing Price especially w/his physical ailments and all. Read some of the other posts and you will see he might be damaged goods.

And shoot...its Wed afternoon over here ..haha...

IF you want speed re-sign Randal Williams, if you want production talk to Key.

1. Where does that leave Crayton, hes the future at WR for this team. When you can draft starters in the later rounds thats how you build a a team. Burying him in the depth chart to 4h WR (We dont go 4 WR) would be a mistake

2. Doesnt contribute on ST's.

I really wouldn't mind bringing Price in. We're one injury away from relying somewhat heavily on Terrance Copper. I know you can't have depth everywhere, but if Price is willing, this seems like an opportunity to bring in a decent backup that has experience with our starting quarterback.

Thank you. Sanity. Now if the "price" is right and he will accept a backup role with the knowledge he'll likely get enough playing time then it is a win/win/win for everyone.

I still want an early present.

I see Price as a Starter with Key moving to the Slot for Slants...I think this is the year Key gets benched and then released at season's end ...he's nothing more than a highly - highly overhyped and paid possession guy - who can no longer Yac it up.

Agreed. This is such a non-complicated issue. Parcells brought in Dedric Ward for the same exact role last year, why is it such a crime to bring in an actual, legitimate NFL player this time around?

And someone will have to explain to me why LeRoi Glover or Al Johnson have to fight off competition to keep their roles, but Patrick Crayton has accomplished so much in his career that he's simply above having to compete for his role. I haven't quite figured that one out yet either.

Again, if Price is medically cleared and cheap, then I wouldn't mind the Boys bringing him in to see what he has.

No reason to let Bledsoe's strong arm go to waste w/only Glenn (injury prone) and Crayton as the true speedsters who can actually catch the ball. Besides, as BP would say, experience is always nice to have.

Some valid points on the ST issue. WHo would play STs if Price was signed unless he took Morgan's role and they let Crayton play STs instead? All depends on what they do w/Morgan and all also.

However, in regards to Randall Williams, no thanks. He reminds me too much of an Alexander Wright who just doesn't know how to combine running and catching. He can do either seperately, especially the running fast part, but not together.

If this is true...why is JJ and BP not even moving to signing another OL like Graggs? I would think its elementary. If you don't have enough time to throw the ball, especially for deep routes, why sign a WR who does his damage going long w/o fixing the OL? I know Vollers, Noll, Tucker and whoever are decent depth, but I think JJ and BP are lying to themselves if they think the OL doesn't need some help.

The only recent news I've read comes from a blog from a reporter who works for the Boston Globe.

Tim McGee, the agent for free-agent receiver Peerless Price, said the Patriots hadn't called him regarding Price as of Tuesday evening. McGee said the Patriots would be a great fit for any receiver.

"We're not looking for the highest bidder," he said. "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what's going on there (is a good thing). They have Tom Brady."

Compare Keyshawn's career to Price's career. If Keyshawn has "never been that good" then Price must have been horrible throughout his career.

Hell, just compare last year's stats.

I know it's hard to believe, but Keyshawn > Price. I know stats sometimes lie and/or don't tell the whole story, but in this case I'd say it's a pretty good indication of their abilities.

Dude, this is not Madden Football, this is the real NFL. You just don't put Key in the slot to run slants. :lmao:

I think it would be highly unlikely that Price would want to come to Dallas. Personally, I would love to have him, but I doubt the idea of being a #3 WR fancy's him when teams like Philly can make hima #2 WR with a very good QB throwing to him.

why would the Cowboys bring in Price, when our own 4th receiver doesn't contribute on special teams either, and which is the very reason he's in danger of getting cut? and Parcells likes MOrgan's potential as a Wr, but he said it's really not about that, but what can that 4th/5th receiver contribute on special teams, I can see the interest in PRice, a somewhat, proven WR, but when it comes down to it, Morgan is going to be cheaper, so we'll wind up keeping him and passing on Price, or getting rid of MOrgan and keeping Copper and Crowder...

There are other destinations where Price may get a chance to start, but as for the Eagles, go look at last years receiving stats, Owens and Westbrook caught almost 50% of the passes between the two of them. That won't change this year either so I don't think Price would be interested in them more than Dallas as far as being a focal point of an offense stand point.
Plus TO would be the deep threat in Philly, Price or not. Here in Dallas Price would be the deep threat guy to stretch the field for Keyshawn and Witten.

truer word havent been spoken in a while.

I dnno what you want from Key, he played real well last year. No Running Game 1st half of the season, then in the second half he's catching all the double teams because he's out there with a couple 6th and 7th rounders..looks like one of those kids came on nicely though
