Julius Jones, 39 carries for 193 yards, 1 TD... 4.9 yards per carry...

Tyson Thompson, 37 carries for 173 yards, 3 TDs... 4.7 yards per carry...

Anthony Thomas, 29 carries for 140 yards, 0 TDs... 4.8 yards per carry...

Total-- 105 carries for 506 yards, 4 TDs... 4.8 yards per carry...

That's what you call a pretty potent running game, folks...and when 3 different running backs are able to put up numbers like that, it tells you that a) the Boys have 3 pretty fair backs, but most important b) they're doing some really good run blocking...

Parcells has the running game he wants, he has a punter to give him the field position he craves, and it looks like he has a stiffer defense to work with, and a quarterback who will minimize mistakes... the wild card is always injury, but it sure looks to me like he's got himself the kind of team he was looking for...

I was listening to the game on the radio with a buddy earlier. I mentioned to him how 2 years ago T-Ham was our starter, and that today he would even make the roster.

I think it's safe to say our RBs have improved. :D

Guys its the preseason, throw them all out the window.

I remember a few years back Billy Davis leading most of the recieving catagories in the whole NFL in preseason.

But come regular season all he could do was level guys on kickoffs, wich is not bad at all. That's all he amounted to.

Take away the KO return and the D surrendered 45 pts. in four games... 11.2 ppg... and only 4 TD's including a fluky AZ TD. Just pre-season but still encouraging.
