Quote from the article: On the Rise

Terence Newman was picked fifth overall in 2003 to be the shutdown corner the Dallas Cowboys had lacked since Deion Sanders was in his prime. Like with Sanders, teams take their chances and throw away from Newman, who had four interceptions last season.
Newman was rated the fastest corner and was tied for first in agility and acceleration. Terence was rated in the elite category and the ratings prove that you can see the dropoff from he and Vincent. Scouts said he will be in the probowl in the not to distant future.

T-New was pretty impressive last year but it seems a little premature to have him in the top 10.

And Ty Law should be at the top of that list.

and to think a lot of us (including I) wanted Jammer in the first round in '02.
am i glad we had to "settle" for roy at the less glamourous safety position.

i'm sure had jammer had fallen to our spot he would be a cowboy now and roy elsewhere.

Hard to imagine Jammer at #25 when we got Newman with practically the same pick. Also, I don't agree with the best CB being Bailey.

I agree on Law, Saladin. And I also like McAllister at No. 2.

Bailey is a premier corner, but not the game's best. It struck me like he slightly lost a step last year as compared to past seasons.

.

Tell me about it. I spent all offseason hoping that McAllister would some how shake loose and hit the FA market.

Guess landing that shut down CB in FA only happens once every other generation.
