to the 1st preseason game. I usually think of July as the top of the mountain. It's an uphill battle from the SuperBowl to July. The season always seems alot closer when the calender turns to July. It's all down hill from today :D

I think of it as the depths of hell.

A perfect opportunity to take a COMPLETE break from football since absolutely nothing of note will occur, (if only self-discipline matched desire).

Anyone found on football boards in July should be committed. ;)

Now that we're in July, I just wish we didn't have to wait until the "end" of July for training camp to start.

I think majority of the coaching staff will be back at Valley Ranch after the 4th of July weekend, therefore we might get a couple of nuggets. Next week is about the time most media outlets start their Off-season prognostications. I enjoy walking to the paper stand or going into grocery stores and seeing many football publications.

I am also a high school and college football junkie. July is the month where most collegiate and High schools start intense practice and scrimmages. July always seems to be the shortest month during the summer. I remember watching Byron Leftwich practicing at HD Woodson during the summer. The team and guys from the DC neighborhoods would play Touch (hard touch) football until the sun went down. It was quite a site to watch.

Training camp is only 3 weeks away. It'll be nice if I could find time to go California (my birth state). Still trying to convince the wife. ;)

I am with you. With NFL Network this summer is going to be great. We'll get all the pre-season games plus (hopefully) insight from camp. The (pre) season can't get here soon enough !!
