Have to grudgingly admit, the cowboys looked pretty good beating a playoff team on the road. My Redskins limped to a victory againt a pretty sorry Bears team. So I'm not exactly confident going into next Monday Night, although I can be pretty sure that our defense won't allow the kind of stuff that the Chargers allowed.
Now for the offense...ugh.
Actually, the big problem is not being able to punch the ball in once we get insode the 25. If we could do that, yesterday's score would have been 20-7.
So anyway, looking forward to a good game in 7 days.

Your going to stop Key-Witten-Glenn-Price-Crayton w/ who? No offense but I dont think Sean Payton is losing sleep right now calling up a game for the Redskins. You will see a heavy dose of JJ and the pass. Get ready for it.
Did you not lose your entire offense yesterday? Your kickers hurt right? I think I read that somewhere.

have to grudgingly admit - we are pretty good!!! have to also admit that as bad as the Bears were, the Skins did not impress me as being significantly better than them. Skins fortunate to win, but if i had to predict monday nights score right now, i would say about 27 - 13 Boys...

That you put up nice numbers against the last year's 31st ranked pass defense should not lead you to think you'll do it against the defense that ranked 7th.

I think he is. And he'd better because Williams is definately losing sleep this week, and luck favors the prepared. :)
JJ can have his 57 yards at 2.6 yards a clip if he wants it. Maybe he'll ramp it up the the 3.6 he gained this past week. Who knows?
The Cowboys are 6 point favorites this week, and they should be, but let's give credit where it's due. The Redskins have a defense to be reckoned with. If Dallas is foolish enough to overlook that it could be a long night for them.

I always look forward to a game against the Skins....never know what you're gonna get. If the Skins go 1-15, but beat the Boys it's a successful year.
I expect it to be a lowering scoring affair then we played against the Bolts...but we will still put up 24...

What makes me nervous in this game is turnovers....as lond as we don't give you the ball on our side of the field we will kick your arse :D

Anybody who thinks we should play the 'Skins as a bye, better review the lowlights of the Rams game yesterday. These longtime rivalries are not like ordinary games. I think Snyder would go 2-15 this year if those 2 were against us. I think we should be wary of a vicotry in a hard-fought game. Can anyone say "letdown"...

Since you asked...
Me will be covered by Shawn Springs most of the night. How Springs didn't make the Pro Bowl last year...a travesty.
Witten will be covered by Pro Bowl linebacker Marcus Washington.
Glenn...not sure who is going to cover her... ;)
Price won't even be on the field for more than a play or two.
Crayton looks pretty good. He'll get a few catches being covered by either 10 veteran Walt Harris or impressive rookie Carlos Rodgers.
Our defense was third in the league last year and limlited the Bears to 166 total yards. No, the Bears are not a good offensive team, but 166 yards is pretty stingy regardless. I would not get the idea in your head that your offense is going to run all over us.

I think this is a dangerous game for the Boys.
redskins do have a good defense and they have a couple play makers on Offense.
That being said i do not see parcells standing for a let down and after the first week jitters from all the rooks I see drastic improvements on Defense.

Ummm …. Mmmmkkkkaaaay. Let me get your collective logic straight. The Cowboys scored a lot of points on a weak defense, so their credibility as a good offense is questionable. Yet, the Redskins play well against a pi$$-poor offense, and their defense is dominating.
Very sound reasoning. Plato would be proud.

I am weary of a let down, But I think Bill will find enough faults in the Charger Game to get the boys attention and will not let the boys overlook the skins. I think we will improve on what we did in the first game, Jones wont be held to under 100 yards against the skins D. I hear there all good and everything, we will see. I am looking at this game as the watershed game for the skins, The point in time when they realize they cant play ball with a good to great team. We are a better then average to good team. No way they can win. Our D will stymie their passing game and Portis wont do crap against a real D. Bledsoe will come out swinging and make Crayton a star. Witten will be getting back into the game plan too. Then theirs every stead Key and Glenn.

.......we thought we had a top tier defense after the 2003 season also........turns out it was just the conservative offense teams ran vrs. us because they knew that the QC led Boys' couldnt do diddly offensivly..............they were willing to just control the ball and limit turnovers, as that is what the Boys of 2003 needed to win games......
I see teams doing the same thing vrs. the 2005 Skins........5 yds in a cloud of dust, do not turn it over, score 17 and win the game........Skins def. statistically will look very good, but have to turn the mirrors so the sun doesnt hit you in the eyes to see the true story

Hmmm...actually, I didn't say what you claim. I said that "the Bears are not a good offensive team", but 166 yards is still pretty stingy. Not dominating. Did you miss that? Or do dominating and stingy mean the same thing in your dictionary?
I also never said that the Cowboys offense is questionable. I just indicated that they won't be able to "run all over us".
Glad I could help clear things up! Plato always did appreciate an ethical argument based on facts.

Did you watch the game? Santana Moss' shoulder pad was out of his shirt? How do you explain that happenign to a WR before the ball even gets to him? There's nothing you can say to argue that call.
As for this game.. I don't think the Skins as much more than a 5-6 win team and I see the Cowboys at around 9-10.. Nevertheless, if I'm a betting man, I'm taking the Skins getting 6 points. Of course, I think the Boys are going to win, but when do they ever beat the Skins by more than 6 points? The game is going to be a straight up low scoring brawl. You guys don't give that defense enough respect. Though they dont have many big names (especially on the DL), it still works.

OK - now we're arguing semantics, E-dog.
Your logic is still on shaky ground. Cowboys O against weak San Diego D = nothing to be impressed about. Redskins D agains terrible Bears O = "stingy."
You can't have it both ways - either playing well against a weak opposing team lends credibility to your team or it doesn't.
Basic Platonic Logic - no semantics. Q.E.D.

Words are important. You are putting words in my mouth that I didn't use, and counteracting points that I didn't actually make. You can't just blow that off by using the semantics cliche.
I'm not having having it any particular way. I'm saying that the Skins had the #3 defense in the NFL last year, and after holding a team - ANY team - to 166 yards (that's a REALLY small amount of total yards, as I am sure you will agree) is an indication that the D is starting right where it left off last year.
The Chargers, conversely, has the 2nd-worst pass defense in the league last year (Skins were 7th) and were 18th overall. 31st out of 32nd in passing! Isn't it logical, based on those indicators, that the Cowboys might not have as much success offensively against the Redskins?
Yes, clearly it is.

So, it doesn't matter how poor the Skins opposing team had been playing, but it is nonetheless logically astute to point out how poor the Cowboys opposing team was playing.

I would say that's been true at pretty much all points. One thing I've noticed about Bledsoe though, particularly with the Bills, was that he gets off to great starts and falters down the stretch. I guess the logic here is that won't happen under Parcells' watch?
And actually, it was 58.9% for testaverde in game #2 last year... :D

Either way, you cant really argue that Bledsoe is better then Vinny.....you also cant make the claim, going on yesterday, that he falters down the stretch. Yeah, it was a great catch by Keyshawn, however, had the throw not been perfect, he wouldnt have had a chance........it doesnt really matter what "logic" or fancy talk you use, the Boys are better than the skins on paper, they played better against a better team.....and quite frankly, if/when they beat the skins next week, it wont be a surprise to anyone. Now, that is FOTBALL LOGIC, screw Plato, and even as a skins fan yourself, if you know football, you know that what I am saying is true.

OK, that was a little more than I expected recently, but still 2 of those games are by 7 points. My point is, we never seem to blow them away, and seeing how they now have one of the league's best defenses, I expect it to be somewhat close. Those of you expecting a 14+ point win may end up a little discouraged after this game, even though again, we will win.

heres the difference between the cowboys and the skins last week. the skins barely eeked out a win against a rookie qb making his nfl debut. we beat a team with a probowl nfl qb. not saying orton doesnt have talent, hes just not drew brees at this point. the skins should of won this game big and they didnt, there offense is plain ugly.
