the Cowboys will have the best econdary in football,

You tell me how many Def have a top three SS in Roy Williams, a good FS in Davis, and two good-great CB in henry and Newman, PLUS a good Nickle CB

And then on top of that 4 of those 5 guys are in there 20's:eek: i thought we were old

For those who think BP doesnt care for the team's future and we add to many old guys

Glover,Ellis, Dat, and singleton

Vs.

Ware, James, Spears(soon), Newman, Henry, Davis, and Williams.

Hmm, we're too old, BP doenst care for our future, and we should be renamed Dallas Jets ;)

EDIT:i forgot to add, our Defense sucks, and shoudl be in the bottom 15 again this year ;)

Well minn. has a very good secondary.

Smoot-finesse gutsy corner
Winfield-Solid in everything corner
Chavous-most of us wanted him
Sharper-most of us wanted him

Minnesota and Philadelphia have two very good secondaries as well, but Philly's is much better due to their pass rush than they would be otherwise.

You would. Everything I have heard and read has said we are a YOUNG team. Ask BP if you don't believe me.

Well I'm not counting on Davis becoming a "good" FS. Hell I'd be happy with "average", considering the guys we put out there last year had to be near the bottom in the entire NFL. I would love to just be able to solidify the position so we are not "forced" to take a safety in one of the first 3 rounds next year.

baltimore has the best secondary bar none- reed, mcalister, rolle, carter, deion... i know deion is old but not bad for your 4th corner!

A close second would be Buffalo with Claments, McGee, Troy Vincent and Lawyer Milloy.

One major problem though... Newman still sucks.

One major problem though... Newman still sucks. So shutting down his side of the field wasn't good enough for you?

He only gave up 3 catches against the Chargers and only one of them was for a significant distance (something like 15 yards) and none of them were for a score. BTW he didn't have any penalties in the process either. With the new emphasis on the "no touchy" rule that is quite an accomplishment. You might try paying attention to what happens on the field. That way you can avoid making these...Ummm...uninformed... comments.

You can't possibly be watching the games. If you are watching them you need to tone down the drinking during game time. Because your perception of reality is way off.

Ed Reed, Chris McAllister and Samari Rolle are all top 5 at their positions.

I still take Ravens and Eagles Secondary over the Cowboys but you are right we would be up there and I think we actually are but you are forgetting that many people including myself, think TNew is suspect out there.

If I was a Offensive Coordinator, I would do what they did last year and throw right at Terence Newman all day. As a matter of fact, that is what San Diego should have done.

BTW, I have seen 2 outstanding Safeties in College that would be real good on the Boys, I dont know his name but the Safety from the Univ of Tennessee, the one that was a safety moved to corner and back to safety and Mike Huff, the Safety from Texas who can cover receivers.

NO! Baltimore, on paper, is number one far and away i think. But the bills secondary is not that good. Old safeties and McGee has never done anything at corner. They don't get a lot of INTs. The reason the bills pass defense is any good is because they have great LBs. For the most part they can handle TEs and backs, or they can put pressure on if the o spreads the field. I think buffalo secondary succes is primarily from the LBs.
