Ware, Poole, LeSeuar....I never claimed to be a football genius, but I just dont understand this....unless they know The Law is coming to town.

Maybe, just maybe, they see Peterson as the better player? Draft the best player, not for need.

Man, I have no idea who these players are. The only one I even got wind about was Jones, but he was supposed to be in the 3rd, along with Micheal Turner. Other than that, who are these people??

I think our guys don't see a CB that can come in and start right away. Are Ware, Poole, and LeSuer immediate starters.

I don't see how they're anymore of an upgrade over Hunter. Guys like Hall and Robinson, yes......the other CBs in this draft....I don't know.

Peterman will be a staple on our OL for years to come. Good pick, that isn't glamourous but will pay dividends in our running game.

He is a better player than the CB's that were left.

Hell, that is always the way with anyone taken after say the 40th pick. Hopefully, I will never get to know them as that would mean they are being flagged for holding, false starts etc.

I had the pleasure of watching this guy play at LSU and I think that a lot of you will be surprised. Pre-Season All-American, the guy only gave up two sacks in his final two years. He is very smart and his specialty is pulling and trapping. This guy can play left or right guard. Played in the SEC against strong competition.

Dallas Cowboys

Round: Three
Selection: 83
Position: Offensive Guard
School: LSU
Year: Senior
Height: 6-3
Weight: 312
High School: St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, Mississippi)

First-Team All-SEC in 2003 and Honorable mention All-SEC in 2002...Made the move from left to right guard as a senior and did so flawlessly...Has the mean approach that coaches love to see in an offensive lineman...Anchored the offensive line that helped lead LSU to a National Championship...Is nearly impossible to push into the backfield thanks to a thick frame and a wide stance...Works extremely hard in the weight room and in practice...Can be on the field regardless of the situation thanks to the fact that he blocks equally well for the run and pass...Understands how to use his hands on an opponent...Not a great athlete, but relies more on his technique and aggressiveness...Needs to keep weight under control in order to be effective.

This is funny. We were told that the OLine would be addressed early. It is and has been the biggest need are on the team for awhile now. I'm pleased to see this happening. You would think that two DBs picked in the first round two years in a row would be sufficiant.

Well, i'm starting to like these line picks. I firmly believe that games are won in the trenches. I am also rejoicing the fact that these linemen are from MAJOR D-1 schools (coincidentally the two champions). Both Peterman and Rodgers hail from programs with a history of producing great linemen and they are also in the top 3 in their respective positions - OT and OG. Unlike many of the pessimists on the board, I truely love our draft.

CCF - I'm getting ready for a trip to BC in a few weeks. What's the weather like up there right now?

I think this means that not only was Peterman the BPA, but our offensive line was a bigger liability to the team than the secondary was.

Hopefully, between Peterman and Rogers the only holes on the OL this season will be the ones they're opening up for Julius Jones to run through.

#2 on Draft Insiders Guard List...Highly developed blocker with all the physical skills to become a top flight pro despite the lack of top athleticism. He carries a top 60 grade on our draft board and is a solid 1st day pick who probably falls to the 3rd round where he would be one of the bargains of the draft...

Keep in mind that all CB's can't play in this system. Cowboys play strict man to man, and Cover 2 CB's like Strait and LeSeur are Mario Edwards waiting to happen.

I've had my eye on Peterman for a long time. He was the the heart and soul of the Tigers offensive line (a line that was the focus point of their National Championship), and this guy plays football the way its supposed to be played. He'll get his guy blocked using anything it takes. He's mean and nasty to the Nth degree.

Not a sexy draft, but I really like it so far, we needed help in the trenches and at RB and we got it!

With Johnson hopefully back at C & fully healthy, our running game should be vastly improved...That should easily improve our whole teams ability to win games!

If that #1 of the Bills turns out great then we pulled off a major steal!

If we improve our running game it will definitely improve our ability to win.

Parcells philosophy is predicated on ball control and defence. It's amazing that we did what we did last year without a running game.

If we can get a running game and a pass rush....this team might be able to do more damage than people expect
