Any skins fan that is happy after the way they were dominated should be embarrassed.

They dont have any hope this season.... even with there 2-0 schedule they dont have any hope. They have a good defense. Although more aggressive play calling would have exposed their secondary. Their offense is so bad they may average 8 points a game this year.

Lets not worry too much about this loss. It will all balance out by the end of the year. If we are good enough we will win enough games to make the playoffs. We got a good defense that needs to step up on long yardage situations. San diego could have ended baddly as well.

The offense was affected by unbelievably bad play calling. The game was called not to lose. From the beginning to the end. I am very dissapointed by this aspect of our team. Any Jose Cortez.....come on.... their has to be a better kicker out there than this.

Skins 14, Boys 13.

Bottom line. A win is a win regardless of how you slice it.

Skins have to take what they can get, but I agree. Calling them paper tigers is a complement. Some team is going to go into a game vs the Skins, not respect their D, and destroy them.

Of course i am right.

The season is made up of more than 2 plays.

If you would trade teams with the skins right now just because they are 2-0 and won a game where they sucked and should have lost..... then i feel sorry for you.. you have no idea about football ..... The best teams will win more games by the end of the year...

We have the talent to be a playoff team and the Skins dont...thats the bottom line not just 3:45 of one game.

Haha. Yeah. I know what you mean. I remember in 1993 when the Cowboys got blown out by the Redskins on opening day. Many Redskins fans were talking SB after that victory (I live in DC). I was like, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. As long as we get better and don't go brain dead at the end of the game (this game was complete and utter brain fart), I'll be happy.

I think the 'Skins D was great. And a win is a win. If you ask me WE were sucked in. Dominate for 55 minutes and then get the snot knocked out of you with 2 punches. Gibbs has this thing figured a lot better than Parcells. The 'Skins desereved to win. Think what Gibbs could do w/ the talent on our team and then make snotty remarks....

Any skins fan that is happy after the way they were dominated should be embarrassed.

That's a stupid thing to say... I mean, that's downright idiotic... and rather juvenile... a win is a win is a win, no matter how you come by it, and when they've been dominated the way they have by the Cowboys here lately, they're entitled to their celebration...

Lets not worry too much about this loss. It will all balance out by the end of the year. If we are good enough we will win enough games to make the playoffs. We got a good defense that needs to step up on long yardage situations. San diego could have ended baddly as well.

That, I agree with... there's still 14 games to go, and the Boys will continue to learn and grow...

Give it to the skins fans...they could never dominate the Cowboys, they had to win one that they did not deserve...I give it to them...the ones still watching at the time...we did cut their nuts off many times in the last 30 years.

They should enjoy one miraculous victory.

they should be happy...they are 2-0....they have a defense thats yielded only 2 tds in 2 games...they have a defense that makes plays when it counts the most

and while offensively they might stink, they found a way to score 2 tds in 5 minutes...we scored 1 in 60

I think the 'Skins D was great.

The Cowboys had over 350 yards, Bledsoe wasn't sacked once, they didn't turn the ball over once...

Yeah, the Skins' D was "great"...

and they held us to one td, 13 pts....and when we started a potential game winning drive at midfield, we couldnt get a single first down

I'll take a Greg Williams coached defense 8 days a week over a Mike Zimmer one...and you can have any 11 players you want on Zimmer's side...the guy will FIND A WAY TO BLOW IT

I would be worried about the Giants anyway. They look better then both the Cowboys and the Skins.

To say that they need to look at their team before they shoot off at the mouth is not stupid. It is true. The only thing juvenile or IDIOTIC is your comments that a win is a win is a win...blah blah. Thanks for stating the obvious for us. I think we all know a win is a win. But without your amazing insight we may have forgotten it. The fact remains the skins offense is truely bad. It's not getting better. Their luck will run out real quick.

Just think of how we would have felt if we were dominated then pulled off a lucky win like that. Sure we are happy to win... but we will not run off at the mouth about it. We know we would have alot of things to fix.
But maybe you would have opened your mouth about it. Because as we all now know (thanks to your amazing insight) I win is a win is a win is also a win and it's a win.

The Skins D was great because we made them look great. We didn't take our chances. We got too damn conservative. And we let them stick around.

SultanofSix, I've been a Cowboys fan since the year they opened for business. I ws at the '66 Championship game in the Coton Bowl and the '81 game at Candlestick. BP is running this team except when things go bad, like tonight, and then he blames his players and coaches. You could see the tide turning in the 3rd Q. BTW think about this: BP won the SB w/ the Giants; wnet to, but lost the SB w/ the Pats; wnet to but lost the championship w/ the Jets; and has already lost in the 1st round of the POs w/ the Cowboys. Can you see a pattern developing here....

A win is a win. They showed more heart down the stretch and won the game. Period.

Well, it's difficult for me to believe you. I've looked at about 10 of your most recent posts. They just don't fit me as a Cowboys fan.

BP always takes the blame. He took it last year. He takes it whenever bad things happen because of him.

While we take next weekend off we will watch the Niners beat you. Actually I cannot see that happening since the Niners are pathetic. Have fun in the Bay area for two weeks while we groom a new QB and play the AFC west.

If i ran my mouth about us winning the game then yes... i would have been embarassed. When a team controls you like that and you win on a 4th and 15 prayer with much help from the refs. And we had S. Moss, Brunell and Patten as our passing game who could not sustain a single drive for 3.80 quarters and then stole a win and i still ran my mouth about my team... then yes i would be embarassed...
..... Maybe you are one of those load mouth fans that i am reffering to... Your reference to last years game makes me believe that you are.
Shooting off at the mouth is only justified when you dominate a team or it's a playoff game. Not when you basically suck and may not win 3 more games all season... But i guess by your standards. Any time you win we should beat our chest about how great we are.

Did I say the Redskins totally dominated the Bears????

I was commenting on the ridiculous post saying the Cowboys had dominated the Redskins all game long. Well if they had than they would have had more than 13 points.

Dominating a team is what the Eagles did to the 49'ers.

some team is going to go into a game vs the skins, not respect their d, and get destroyed. Sure our playcalling was conservative, but what game were you watching. Their defensive playcalling was just as conservative. They rushed 4 most of the game and relied on keeping our WR in front of them, which they did for the most part except for the flea flicker. They have a good defense, they proved that last year, its just their god awful offense that costs them a lot of games

Even with all that, you still only scored 1 TD. Or maybe your offense can't come through in the Red Zone?

I can admit our offense sucks, but our D came through when it counted and your didn't. RW got toasted not once but twice. 14-13. Ugly win, but I'll take it. and so would all of you.

super, you started out in this thread saying any skins fan that was 'happy' should be embarrassed. first, i find it hard to believe that you werent 'happy' about crayton and vinnys last second heroics last season in DC. dallas wasnt exactly lighting it up on O til that last pass. and if you were not only happy, but gloating, more power to you- dallas won the game, didnt they? no harm, no foul. vinny and crayton beat springs and taylor. no need to hold back.

much like that dallas win, washington wasnt doing anything on offense monday night. am i happy we won? of course. i'm certainly not beating my chest saying how great the skins are. but i am happy we won.

you also said they won 'with much help from the refs'- this sounds like sour grapes. homerism aside, their were touchy calls on both sides. skins fans were pissed that craytons drop- at least by the letter of the NFL rule book- should have been a catch and fumble- 2 feet down, turning upfield which is a 'football move'. sounds like a fumble to me. and there was another fumble by dallas that wasnt called. there were also holding penalties that skins fans are saying werent called- including thompsons return in the final minute. there were 2 horse collar tackles that could have been called against dallas that werent. bad calls? sure there were.

for the record, i'm not sure the hit to the head on brunell in the end zone was a hit to the head.

i give credit to dallas D for playing the way they did. i think, as football henry said in another thread, that dallas has the best team they've had in years. i also dont think that roy williams was as bad as dallas fans are saying- on both long balls, he was literally inches away from touching the ball and breaking up both passes. no, he didnt make the play, but he was as close as you can get without actually making it.

am i happy with our O? no. but i also realize that both the bears and the cowboys have very good- if not great- defenses. your guys got to brunell 5 times monday night. portis didnt have any room to run. that worries me.

but, if you expect the skins fans to not be 'happy' about the game monday because the offense didnt make a play for most of the game, then you should apply that logic to yourself- not only as it applies to last years win in DC- but your own offenses performance monday night. at least the skins beat your stout D on 2 straight up passes- and very good ones at that- as opposed to having to resort to a gadget play. by your own logic, you ought to be embarrassed about your teams only TD.

you mentioned the skins might only win 3 more games all year and ranted about how bad they suck. the skins are #10 in total offense (against 2 very good D's) and #4 in total D. where do the 'boys rank? 18th in total offense, 20th in total defense. and this after playing one of your two games against our horrible team.

its almost poetic justice- crayton beating taylor in the last half minute for the winning TD last year, then taylor breaking up a pass to crayton that would have almost certainly gotten dallas a first down close to FG range, on a monday night, where the skins hadnt won in 10 years, when the triplets get inducted into the ring of fame, when dallas had the game won moments earlier.

yeah- i'm happy.
