...forget the 2 tDs, Roy dropped a sure INT thrown by Brunell into triple coverage just a play or two before the first TD. Roy just stinks as a cover safety. He should be a LBer, end of story!

Go back. Rewatch the tape. And then tell me if it was all on him.

I like Roy. I liked his sacks and big hits this year. A safety, especially strong safety, should never be 1 on 1 with the fastest receiver on the other team.
Guess what????
SURPRISE SURPRISE HE WASN'T. Glenn was the corner charged with it.

It doesn't help when your own teammate (Henry) comes in and lays the smack down on you while you're trying to catch it.

It went through his hands and hit his facemask, before he got hit! I don't care what else happened on the play! Any decent defender in coverage picks that ball.

he would have had the pick had it not been for Henry, who ran into him

He NEVER had it, it went straight through his hands before any contact with henry.

And why is Gelnn going for an Interception on that 80 yard bomb?
Interfere him if your beat, your out of the play, dont make up for it with a lame attempt at a pick.

I agree with you. It did go through his hands, but it bounced straight up and he might have come down with it had he not been hit by Henry.
Its speculation and opinion. I'm just glad he was there to break it up.
Too bad he wasn't the last two times.

It is on them both. Fool me once, fool me twice. Roy should have been standing at the goaline on 4th and 15. Why wasn't Newman on Moss anyway.

That was not exactly an easy catch to make.

Done. And yes, it was.
3 f*** ups from Roy in the 4th quarter cost us the game. What you did for the first 3 Quarters is meaningless if you drop a game winning INT and give up 2 TDs to the SAME freakin' play.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Shame on you, Roy. You were pathetic in the 4th quarter, when games are won or lost in the NFL.

Holy ****. It's nonsense to blame one player on a loss. On 4th and 15 for that matter on one of them.
And it wasn't the same play.
It's amazing. Glenn is the cover corner on both those touchdowns and Roy gets blamed.

I think Glenn had something to do with it also!

We can sit here and play the IF game all night, point is we failed to finish against a horrible offense up 13-0 in the 4th. No excuse for that what so ever. We flat out dropped the ball and got what we deserved by letting Washington hang around. This game could have easily been 20-0 in the 4th instead of 10-0 but Dallas failed.

you can butterfly effect this thing out till the end of time. If the fat redskin chick wouldn't have farted while the pass was in the air then it would have been short and interecepted by glenn since her fart caused the ball to get extra lift. Sometimes players just beat other players. It happens

Roy had deep coverage responsibility on BOTh plays. When you are the SAFETY and you have deep coverage you don't let the WR get behind you. Roy did it twice. And it was the same freakin' play. I'd expect that kind of screwup from a rookie, not a 4 year veteran.
Roy should have been standing at the goaline on 4th and 15.
He was 2 yards INSIDE the first down line. He should of been 2-3 yards OUTSIDE the first down line. Those 4-5 yards would of made the difference on that 4th down play.

Everyone just got spoiled here by Darren Woodson. Strong Safeties just don't go toe to toe with speed guys.

So he should of been deeper before the snap anyway. If it's 4th and 15, why are you lined up 12 yards from the ball?

Now you know why Roy is not a WR.

It's not like he was lined up on Moss 1v1. His ONLY responsibility on those two plays is to not get beat DEEP. Heck, even on the potential INT, he was playing catch up with the WR.

Because that was how the defense was designed. Duh!
