for those of you who think we were dominated and only won because of 2 plays....UUUuuumm....Qwikdraw....here are the box scores. not exactly domination by either team. in fact, it looks like a pretty close game, which it was. Sure our offense was horrible for 3 quarters, but with solid D and an explosive 4th we got it done.

we were owned in turnovers? we had 1 real turnover, the other was a fumble right before the half that didn't matter? 1 pick and we were owned?
we were owned in TOP? 27 minutes and 53 seconds compare to 32 minutes and 7 seconds and thats ownage?
we were owned in penalties? 12 flags for 80 yards compared to 7 flags for 60 and we were OWNED!?
the only thing you dominated was pressuring the QB. Congratulations, you have one of the most pathetic posts i have ever read in the PieHole *golfclap*

Stats in games like this are really useless.
Plain and simple Skins made plays when they counted and won.

Get it out of your system now foreskins because these wins are very FEW and far in-between.
Say what you want.....FLUKE!!!!!!!!
Hey genius, we dominated for the first 56 minutes and then collapsed. You can check the box score all you want, the 2 long pass plays make it look more even.
We were absolutely dominating you--completely. It wasn't even close.
That being said, you guys deserved to win.

this is trully sad. i come on to defend my teams win as a good team that didn't quit when things weren't going right, against the Pie fans who say it was a pure fluke victory. i have as much of a right to do that as you do to proclaim it a fluke. i created this thread to simply show how even most stats were. And you come on and cry like a girl to the mods "can you ban this guy!?" you trully sound like a little girl. take it like a man!!! i have been taking these type losses for years and never once cried like a b**** so blantantly!!!!!!

You're barking up the wrong tree. There's a lot of us right now who lost sleep, are crabby and would gladly kick the living snot out of you if we could meet in person. I don't mind opposition, I just hate folks with your attitude. Even the Skins fan who was talking the most trash last week was smart enough to come in and give us some optimism. Wisen up, you're on a board with a bunch of loyal Cowboys fans who just watched one of the toughest losses in the last few years.

You won.
We lost.
No one dominated the game on either side.
But in all honesty, as a Cowboy fan... I walk away feeling like we played a very good game for 99% of it's duration. We had some real bright spots and showed some things to really build on.
We didn't turn the ball over once. We hadn't had a penalty on defense this season until the fourth quarter of last night. We have shown a lot more pressure on the QB. Our offense has spread the ball relatively effectively.
But as a Redskin fan... I would take an honest look at my team. Enjoy the win but it wasn't encouraging. No turnovers. Never even drove the ball past the 40 w the exception of the 2 bombs.
I'm not talking ish.
We lost.
But this isn't necessarily directed at Synder but any Skins fan who knows his football and loves his team, should admit that his team's performance last night is reason for concern.

Hey Einstein, take out the two long pass plays and then look again. The Foreskins gained about 180 yards through 3 1/2 quarters. They gained 180 yards on their two touchdown drives. Congrats on the win, but your arguement doesn't hold water.

those of you who think that i came here merely to gloat are foolish. here is a copy of my original post that i made on my thread immediately following the game...
The Pies played solid defense, great play from the Oline, the punter was on point, Bledsoe was turnover free. you guys played solid but i think you were rocked to sleep by the poor Skins offense and when Brunell and the guys refused to quit, you got caught sleeping. Our so called "underrated defense" created this as well. they were the reason we were able to unleash Moss in the 4th quarter.
I have a special sig for you Qwickdraw :)
what happened to you guys tonight is what usually happens to us against the Pies. So i know how it feels to be on the other end, i just forgot how it feels to be on the winning end for once. feels good!
the Pies are still solid though. great line, smart QB, young prodigy RB, solid defense. you guys just didn't put us away and got burnt late when we finally threw the deep ball.
see you in december.. great game, good night!
i am now just defending my team and the win. after watching the game i surely don't have visions of super bowl trophies dancing in my head. the offense was nonexistant for 3 quarters. but it was great to see them come alive finally. you guys say it was just 2 bombs that got lucky..i say no way. those were designed plays that were perfectly executed. the first time we caught you sleeping, the second time we just torched you....no excuses. it was no fluke or accident. niether was Brunells 25 yard scamper or the 4th down conversion.
this is a huge win for us going into a bye week. not only did we beat our arch rivals, we beat our arch rivals on the road on a big night in Dallas, we beat our arch rivals/ divisional opponents on the road on a big night in Dallas by coming from behind in the 4th quarter showing heart and toughness. something we haven't done in 10 years! we beat a quality football team on the road in the division while seeing our offense make big plays for the first time in what seems like a year. its the type of win that does wonders for a struggling franchise. thats why we are celebrating so much. nothing personal to the Pie fans....but this was big for us

Dallas’ starting tailback outperformed Washington’s
Outside of those two deep bombs, Bledsoe out performed Brunnell by a large margin.
Outside of those two passes, Dallas WR’s and TE’s outperformed Washington’s.
Dallas O-Line…0 sacks with few pressures. Washington D-Line 5 sacks, with tons of pressures.
McBriar punted better than Groom.
Tyson Thompson had the only significant return of the day.
Dallas, few penalties and yards (and the refs gave Washington some gifts).
We lost, and it is what it is. But, if we stay healthy I’m not even slightly concerned about Washington posting a better record than us.
The Giants and the Eagles are a different story.

The passing stats and total yardage stats are only close BECAUSE of those 2 plays. Washington had more return yard because they had more return attempts. Washington lost the TO battle, had more penalties, lost the sack battle, and lost time of possesion. This was as fluke as it gets. Dallas LOST this game, plain and simple.

i remember one year when Jeff George was QBing. we played the Cardinals. at the end of the game we had over 400 yards of total offense and they had less than 100. we lost that game. something like 10-6. that was the first time ever a team had gained over 400 and held a team under 100 and lost. that was a fluke. this was not. this was a close, defensive game that was decided by big plays. Dallas had 1 big play, we had 2. so we won. just because the majority of our offense came late and yours was spread out means nothing.

go pour some gatorade over yourself too. Daniel Snyder had a ****in orgasm in his pressbox after you won. You're fans probably haven't felt this happy since 1982. Enjoy this while you can. Anyone watching the game knows that you guys deserved to lose, and you came out with a miracle win. Congratualtions. See you 12/18. If yake away those two plays, the box score would look MUCH different. The Redskins would have had 12 first downs, 237 total yards, a 56.2 passer rating, zero points and a loss.
So yeah, other than those two plays, the Redskins were fairly dominated.

Not only was this one of the biggest comebacks on MNF history, we came back on a BP coached team down 13 in the 4th. 77-0. 77! Thats almost 5 full seasons...
Havn't felt this way since 82? Hmm, how about in 99 when we got to the second round of the playoffs. When was the last time you guys did that... 95?96? I thought you were 14-16 against the Skins of late.. and wow still couldn't get past the wild-card game.

how can you say that!? take away 2 of the cowboys big plays, the flee-flicker and whatever other big gainer you had and then what!?
its not fair to say "take away 2 of your touchdowns and then what?" those plays were part of the football game. if you keep stressing about taking away our 2 plays, then take away 2 of your own as well. its a completely ridiculous point. an extreme analogy would be "take away 3 of the Patriots SB trophys and then they'd suck!" you can't take it away. they earned it just like we earned our big plays. we didn't cheat, we just executed 2 huge plays and won. and you can't take anything away from that!

I dont blame any of the fans for celebrating. You better ****in believe I went through the roof last year, and this year I did too, for differnet reasons.
I just thought your HOF coach, and the players would have a bit more class. You poor the gatorade when you've won a really significant game. We dominated 55 minutes of the game, unfortunately, the game is played for 60 minutes.
Enjoy your win, please. I will be thankful to the fact that it's only Week 2, and we're still sitting at 1-1.
Best part of this rivalry, maybe now you can call it that, at least for this season, we get to play you again. But I refuse to circle that date on my calender until we get past Week 14. As long as the players and coaches take it 1 week at a time, we'll be fine.
I still see us finishing better than you guys this year. Believe me, it took a miracle for you guys to get your first 2 TD's of the seaon.

I think it feels like a fluke to us Cowboy fans because only 3 plays of offense from the Redskins ultimately mattered. That is so disproportionate to the rest of the game that it seems fluke-ish. But really neither team seperated itself from the other. We should have been up 14-0 instead of 3-0 early but we failed to capitalize. We aren't good enough to squander that many points - especially when we are playing conservative offense. Bottom line is we didn't make the big plays (or stop the big plays) when we needed to and the Redskins did.
The Cowboys are not 2-0 which would have been nice but I can't say I expected them to be. Two important lessons came from both our games so far, we can fight for a tough win but we can take a tough loss. Even after last night's loss, I still like what I'm seeing from the Cowboys this year. That feeling of energy in the air is showing signs of returning...
Good win Redskins - one I know you will enjoy for a long time. I'm sure we'll hear about it again and yes, we will see you in December. The 18th. At high noon. ;)
