Has there been any news that Peerless will play a considerable amount tomorrow?
I have not read anything about that.

College Note: Brady Quinn, I thought he was good when he first got to Notre Dame and Willingham started giving him time as a freshman, and he got better as a Soph. their team was just on and off from week to week.

But now with Weiss, Quinn is really starting to take off, I'm begining to think thei kid may be the better QB in the college ranks right now.
Of course I have not seen all the QBs play, I have seen Matt Lienart play twice, and I'm not really a Notre Dame fan, but I am becoming one.
It started out as interest in them because of Willignham coaching there, and the interest grew even more when they hired Weiss.

I wanted Weiss to do well, I believed he would and he is. Quinn in the Heisman race.

The guy can play ball and the tutoriung he's getting is setting him up to be successful on the next level.

I would love to draft this guy, forget Lienart, he is good and if we can get him fine, but I know that we would not be able to get him, Quinn on the other hand we may be able to make some moves to get him.

Parcells if he is still here, I beleive he is watching this guy.

Anybody else like Quinn?

Bledsoe, Romo - we will not be drafting QB early Day 1.

Sb Interesting to see how we go. My Money is more DT/DE as we displace Ellis and maybe Glover. Tho I'm a Glover fan and think he can situationally contribute here in 2006.

Im not too high on Quinn, could just be a system QB which I think Brady is

What about Drew Stanton he has a completion rate of just over 70% right now i think that he 6' 3'' 220 extremely accurite passer any thoughts

Then if he is just a system QB, you should be fine with Quinn. We won 3 SuperBowls with a system QB.

are we ever going to get the chance to see him play

Stanton seems to be a very decent QB, from what I saw. But Quinn I believe has that infamous "It".

I like the kid, in my mind he is in the top 5 QBs right now.

Though we really need a Quarterback around here, I doubt we draft one, especially if Parcells is planning on sticking around after this year.

I see a receiver and a safety being taken in the first and second round.

I am curious to see if guys like McNeal or Young fall, would the Cowboys bite.

The games with get down here in Dallas suck, so I dont get a chance to see some of these QBs.

I have no idea why they force Notre Dame down our throat down here. Though it was a blowout, I would have like to see the Vick kid play instead.

And I was really disappointed the USC/Oregon Game wasnt shown down here :( .

I would take McNeal, but Young, no not at QB, but as a WR.
I like that we get the Notre Dame games.

See I would take Young before I take McNeal. McNeal didnt show me anything during the Clemson game. Once they put him in the shotgun and ran him, then they started moving the ball, but you have to show me that arm to convince me and McNeal didnt.

As for Young, last year, you would never ever hear me advocating this guy. But Brent Muskburger or whatever his name is, was saying Texas hired a QB Consultant and worked with Young during the entire offseason. Im telling you, it showed during the Ohio State Game. He made some NFL-Calibre throws that he just couldnt make to save his life last year.

I will continue to evaluate him as a Passer, but he seems to just have "it" with regards to winning and making plays.

QBs I like, not in any particular order

Brian Bohm<---this dude comes from a whole family of QBs
Matt Leinhart
Chris Leak
Vincent Young

I have not gotten a chance to see the guy from Michigan State and the guy from Bowling Green, Jacobs was not impressive when I saw him earlier this week against somebody, forgot who.

Mike, that is news to me, about a QB consultant for vince young. I listen to the zone, and all they do is talk UT football and those guys never mentioned a QB consultant for Young. One of the radio guys was a coach at UT, in fact he is always bragging about the guys he recruited and coached, those guys were Ricky, Priest, Mitchell, and one other.

We are on the opposite sides of the fence on this. McNeal has always been a better passer to me than Young, and Young a better runner. McNeal to me sees the field better and reads the defenses.
I believe those analysts, just run off at the mouth.
But I will call into the zone and find out for sure if the consultant thing is true.
Now I'm willing to bet all it is was Steve McNair, who is suppose to be Young's mentor or godfather or something.

I have been saying since Young got here, ifhe is that close to McNair then McNair should be working with him on his throwing motion.
But every offseason they say that McNair and Young spends time together, how ever true that is.
I bet that is what Musgburger is talking about.

Take a close look at McNeal the next time you, I mean take a real good look at him.
A&M will beat UT this season.

I would not want Young as a QB.

The annoucer said something about somebody being brought in or something during the OSU game.

I always take a good look at A&M and I will be going the game against Texas because one of my Co-Worker is a Season Ticket holder and we talk A&M football all the time at work.

A&M is just not that good this year. But McNeal is going to have to show me something. He has always had a nice completion rating, but it is all about what have you done lately.

I would love to draft the kid because he is from Texas, but we have to be sure about this thing as we really need a Quarterback.

right now I say Young>Mcneal until I say a little more from him. Garnering Player of the Week honors against SMU is just not enough.

Oh, and I dont think the Aggies have a chance against Texas this year. They had trouble stopping Clemson's backup Quarterback 2 weeks ago.

I disagree again A&M has more than a chance to beat UT, just like Misouri does next Saturday.

Do not underestimate A&M. That was Clemson's starting QB. A&M will be alright, you'll be surprised at the end of the season.

UT played well against Ohio St., I still believe that Tressle got too cute for his own good, and that is why they lost. He should have left Troy Smith as the starter and he should not have been playing the 2 QB, routine.

So he messed up in that game right off the bat.

Other than that, game UT has played to schools equivalent to High School teams, and not very good ones either.

Clemson's starting Quarterback went down at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter. Their backup QB came in and finished the Aggies off. I was very disappointed, heck on one of his first throws it should have been a TD but he was so nervous he overthrew a wide open receiver.

Im ready for A&M to start playing for National Titles, they have the Money, the Facilities, and the Coaching...

Dont forget the Longhorns had a 14-0 lead at one time. The Longhorns won the game behind Vince Young's arm and legs.

O line is a bigger need than WR, we can get a few more years out of Glenn and Key and we just added Price and Crayton is lookin good. I think we can get a WR in the later rounds. Dont give up on Keith Davis yet, he has made a few mistakes but dont give up on him yet, I think he might be a solid safety, but we do need to bring in competition for him. I think the O Line is a bigger need, LA is going to retire soon, Rivera will be following LA, and Flo isnt getting any younger. Jacob Rogers seems to be a bust, so tryin to stock up the oline in the previous draft didn't work as planned. BP has had some good draft picks since he has been here. He made a brilliant move to trade out of first round and still got his guy and got a first round pick for next year, then he drafted Crayton in the 7th, and his last draft class seems to be a good one so far, still got to wait and see how everybody pans out.

If the team is going to stick with the 3-4, they need a OLB and probably an ILB.

WR would be nice as well.

The guards are getting old and expensive.

FS could definitely be upgraded.

Why is Peerless Price not mentioned in a single one of these responses? I for one would love to see him get on the field and sprint downfield a few times see if we can get a couple deep to him. Anybody miss Rocket Ismail? I think thats who he reminds me of.

Mike - forget about Vick, he's not pro calibre in my opinion. He's not his brother, not even close really. Good college player but I don't see him at the next level as any real threat.

He'll most certainly get drafted but after that...................

Brady Quinn is no doubt one of the top QB's in college football. He's still only a true junior, so he'll be back at ND next year and a 1st round pick in 2007. He's huge at 6-4, 230+lbs. He has a strong, accurate arm. He's smart. Decent mobility for a guy his size. Plenty of experience against tough competition. And the most important thing is that he has Charlie Weis as his coach the rest of this year and all of next. If your looking for the QB in NCAA who will go on to have the best NFL career, Quinn has to be right at or near the top. So far through 4 games in 2005 against some tough competition here are his numbers. 95 comp - 154 att 1181 yards 10 TD - 2 int
He's on pace for 3200+ yards and 26 TD - 6 int.

In 2004 as a true soph. 191 comp - 353 att 2586 yards 17 TD - 10 int, not bad since he had Willingham and his horrid offensive coordinator(Bill Diedrick) calling plays and coaching him.

Keep your eye on Quinn, if you have a chance. He's that good.

Sam Keller at Arizona St is tearing it up this year too. 6-4/200 junior. 12 TDs and 2 INTs in 3 games. 460 yards vs LSU.

Definitely like Stanton also. Brohm is a true Sophmore, but a future #1 overall pick.

I believe Quinn is just a Jr and planning on returning next year....so maybe draft '07?
I do like him quite a bit, kid has moxie, great arm, smart.
I don't care for McNeal or Young and an NFL QB. Don't foresee them being quality starters.
Young will be a lot like Vick, break your heart with one great play, then 4 bad ones.

If Henson shows no improvement I would be all for getting Brady Quinn if he chooses to go in the 07 draft. Quinn has a cannon arm and nice mobility for a big QB.
