Agreed. We need to leave about 2 seconds on the clock for the Raiders.

Bledsoe is TERRIBLE today. #1 rated passer in the NFC? Hardly.

Come on, man. Get behind your team. Dude has played great ball all year, & you blast him for one bad game. When was the last time you were perfect?

What a dilemma, I want them to run out the clock, but the offense has been so shaky the whole game, I feel like they should go for that TD ASAP and not waste the minutes in case it takes them too many plays.

Mash
10-02-2005, 06:15 PM
Oh well .....good game....they all even out.....if we continue to play like this.....its a 8-8 team....you need to be aggressive from the get go......make the other team afraid of you....set the tempo.......all are games are play not to lose and hope we can pull it off in the end.

Good game.....we could be 0 and 4 or 4 and 0 this season......but...as things tend to even out....were 2-2........the problem with this philosophy....when u play a very good team......they will put you away.

I wasn't happy with Campo playing this style.....and Im not sure happy with this kind of style with Bill.......I rather have one of the worst records in football then consistantly be 8-8.

this team is seriously stressing me out!

Cogan
10-02-2005, 06:15 PM
These first four games came out about like I figured....better really. I'm really excited about the future. Our rookies are coming on, our QB had a bad game, but he'll be back. Hey, give the Raiders their due. They were hanging by a thread, and they came out like a desperate team should, angry.
Don't dispair, Cowboy fans. This season will get better. We have taken every team we've played down to the wire...with a bunch of rookies on defense trying to learn a new system, and a new QB on offense. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the offensive line. They should be blocking better by now.
Good thing there's a mess of OTs available in next years' draft.

Jimz31
10-02-2005, 06:15 PM
Coaches need to go back and read "Coaching for Dummies".

Bledsoe needs to read "Passing for Dummies."

Terrible all around today.

Hopefully next week will be better.

I am so tired of BP's conservative offense. DB never threw the ball down field until we were in the fourth quarter. I hate that style of play. It doesn't attack. It plays not to lose. It'd be great if we had a coach who coached to win, not to lose. We will never go anywhere with him. Period.

mrecktid

10-02-2005, 06:18 PM
Now we all know where we going this season!

We have a good team. Our Defence is coming together. But our team is not so good to overcome bad coaching (playcalling) on both sides of the ball.

This is it. Seasons over. Get the young guns some experience and a high draft pick. Get rid of this Zimmer-guy. I can't stand him anymore and let Payton have an earfull of BP!

I am so depressed right now!!!!!!

Gaede
10-02-2005, 06:19 PM
I really don't like what Payton's doing with this offense.

Or Zimmer. I think we probably have the wussiest 3-4 in the history of time . not seriously, but a blitz would be more than welcome

On the plus side, our rookies look good (already) and pass defense didn't get shredded

Windmill
10-02-2005, 06:19 PM
That's what I meant. Before today we were tied with the Eagles and they are the last team to leave us behind.

10-02-2005, 06:19 PM
I'm pissed! We continue to enter every game with the same LOUSY CONSERVATIVE "play not to lose style." Instead of designing our O to attack our opponents weakness, we play to our opponent's strengths. Everyone knows the Raiders are tough to run inside against, and are vulnerable on sweeps and passes. So, what do we do? We do the same thing we've been doing all year, playing the same old conservative style of ball that always costs us the game. How many games do we have to lose until BP realizes that our best chance of winning comes from being aggressive, and attacking our opponents weaknesses. We have the weapons! We should of activated Price and attacked the Raider's secondary all day, and used the pass to back off the safeties for JJ. We are pathetic, but I don't blame the players, I blame BP for failing to change with the times, and realize that our best chance of winning comes from attacking and being aggressive. I really believe that if the Raiders secondary starters were all out injured, and we were facing backups in their secondary, we still would be running JJ between the tackles for 1 yard gains! !!!

Bill was passive with the Giants....he didn't have complex blitz packages.....it was all LT....he was a man amoung boys.

Bellichek is more aggressive and actually game plans against the O.....he actually tries to set the tempo.

We don't and still wont make half time adjustments.........can u actually tell me....did anyone see anything different in this game that we havent seen in others.....except the trick plays......so we stayed over there so we can watch film quiker....yet we come out of the gates and leave Moss one on one on the second play of the game.

Well, I think were about as far along as I thought we would be as a team, but I really wanted a new attitude on D, one that attacks & kills QB's...

Like I said, we won't get anywhere with BP. He is old school and that's great. But, the old doesn't mix with the new. I honestly hope we don't make the playoffs so hopefully the idiot will retire and someone with fresh, new ideas will come in and light it up.

Bill sure brought in the players, now if he and the coaching staff would buy a clue and learn how to use them, we might have something. Both of losses this year were 100% due to piss poor coaching, and playcalling.

They were the best team without a win,, much like the Deadskins are the worst team without a loss. The raiders are a pretty decent team. I would have liked to see us more aggressive on O and I would have liked drew to hit glen in the chest on that last throw, but I wouldn't say we suck,, not yet.

Playing not to lose sucks! Instead of designing our O gameplan to attack the opponents Defensive weaknesses, we stick to our conservative play not to lose style. Teams don't even need to game plan against us, since they already know we are not going to take any chances to exploit any particular weakness of our opponent. They know, that no matter what deficencies they have on defense, we are not going to alter our play calling to take advantage of it. We were facing a very tough run defense and lousy pass defense team, and what do we do? We continued to try to establish the run between the tackles. DUH!!! Why didn't we just attack their weakness and throw the ball? Simple, because we don't alter our game plan according to our opponent. We used the same game plan against the Raiders that we used against the Chargers, Redskins, and 49ers. Which is, establish the run, don't take chances, keep it close, and play not to lose, and hope our D can hold down our opponents. Problem is, it NEVER works!!!

It works if your looking for a .500 season....

Bill will leave here as a .500 coach.......collect his millions....and save his face by blaming stupid players and then get voted in the HOF.

I think Bill does have a eye for certain positions.....like RB's and LBs....but as a coach.....not the external stuff but as a coach preparing players to play the game....I think it has passed him by......but then again.....maybe his assistants are problem......he use to have some very good ones with the Giants...Pats and Jets......and maybe the ones he is relying on now....are just not cutting it.

I totally agree HH. I want to see QBs flattened and I think we'll eventually get there. This team gives me more hope than any we've fielded since the late 90s, and that includes the 2003 team who wasn't anywhere near as good as their 10-6 record might indicate.

After reading some threads today, way too many people want to jump ship because of a couple of tough losses.
