View Full Version : If you could suit up for one game...

What game would it be, what position, and why?

Don't think of it as replacing someone, but as if you were acquired as a Free Agent.

I am thinking Giants, week 13, playing Right Defensive Tackle. I am not a fan of Eli Manning at all. I would love to knock his block off from the blind side late in the season.

My other choice would be Redskins, week 15, playing Free Safety. Sorry Santana but I gotta put the smack down on you, and any one else who wants to be cute coming over the middle.

I'm suiting up this week as punt returner then.

I mean, if there are any punts to be returned.

Wide receiver this week against Philly.
Go deep and catch one of those pretty bombs from Bledsoe right over Dawkins for the game winning score. Then run to the middle of the field and stand on the star then pull my pants down and moon McNabb and Owens.

I'd suit up at TE or WR. I'm not the fastest guy in the world, but I can catch pretty much anything thrown to me and at 6' 4" I'd have a height advantage.

What would I do...make sure the cowboys won. :laugh2: ;)

Or maybe....

the grounds keeper.

I could dig small specially placed holes and cover them with a thin layer of turf.

Let the cowboys players know where they were and to avoid them.

Then watch the eagles hobble around from mysterious ankle injuries.

========

Or maybe....

A janitor...

So I could have the keys to the eagles locker room prior to the game and I could put icy/hot in the jocks and numbing agents in players gloves and mouth pieces.

I would like to see McNabb out there trying to bark out the calls in the huddle or in the line with a numb tongue.

========

Or Maybe...

A chef...

At the place where the eagles eat the night before the game.

I would give them free Brownies and Cakes and say...THESE ARE ON THE HOUSE BOYS because you guys are such a great team.

Later they would find out that they had special ingredients in them...one to make their bowels loose and others to get them in trouble with the league substance abuse testing.

======

Or Maybe....

A game camera man who is on the eagle sidelines.....

I would hold up hogies and other various foods near Andy Reid to make him lose concentration.

Well DE would be a good position to play if you were looking for some glory. You could always get lucky and have the QB and the Tackle you were up against trip over each other somehow and then you touch the QB for a "Sack". Then you could always say you were on pace for a 16 Sack season before you decided to pack it in!

I'd like to play RB since I've always been partial to that postion from Calvin Hill, through Dorsett, Emmitt, etc. But the only way I'd have any true glory like that would be if the Cowboys were playing a High School team that day. ;)

I'll be Portlands QB, "Come again, running play? OK D, I'll throw the ball deep to Glenn.. again, and again and again. I'll take the second half off too, cuz we will be up by 30!

I would suit up for the 81 NFC Championship play and play left defensive end. I would just rush almost straight up field only drifting slightly to the left. That way when Joe Montana starts to roll out, I am there to either sack him or force him to go back to the middle ruining that dang stupid catch.

Defensive Coordinator since OC is already been taken. Maybe I could find a way to make Zimmy Wuss's Defense look decent and get a good pass rush for ONE friggin' game at least this year. And I'd love to stop someone else from running over us.

Good call joseephuss. So sick of hearing about that stupid catch. Clark was a nobody and there were higher powers at work that day for the niners. Bottom line though, Danny Whites arm was in motion! and a Dallas field goal should have ended the game in victory for the Boys. However, like a tell my wayward 49ers fan brother, Dude, the catch was 25 years ago. Stop living in the past!

I'd like to be a first round pick and I'd suit up the day he signed his contract and recieved his signing bonus. :D

Seriously though, I'd like to play RB one game vs the Eagles. I wouldn't care how many yards I got, I'd just want as many opportunities as possible to run over Trotter and/or Dawkins. Hell, my style of running would already be perfect for our offense... right between the tackles. :)

And after seeing me run the ball, you'd be begging JJ to bring back Troy Hambrick.

Tie, first choice ref, love to see TO catch a long one and then throw the flag about the time he gets midway thru the dance, runner up for me would be kicker, it is truly your chance to be the star in a team sport, they always remember the kicker if he wins at the end, course they also remember the misses, but in my dreams I never miss.......

I think the carolina game is going to be the deciding game of the year . So id want to suit up for that game and play special teams for both kickoffs and returns, punt returns and punt team.

Id be happy with that :star:

Any position, any home game. It would be a dream come true to be in a Cowboys uniform on that field.

I have played a lot of positions over the years, pretty much everything but CB, and I love to hit.

I would love to play TE and crack down on one of the Eagles DEs or lay a major hit on Dawkins as he is trailing Keyshawn across the middle (a little reverse on what the SS usually does :) ) as well as catch a short TD pass or three.

I'd like to play FB and crush anyone coming into the hole thereby springing Julius for a long TD run.

I would love to play OLB and line up across from Moss or Owens and just beat them down as soon as the ball was snapped. Push them back off the line and drive them into the turf. Or maybe even drive them all the way off the field and into the bench area where several of the Zone members are sitting as special guests of the Cowboys.

Heck, I could go on but you get the idea, I just want to hit someone.

I would be in Jackie Smith's uniform in Super Bowl 13. Heck, I was only 12 years old but I'll bet I could have held on to that pass.

Oh man, I know I'd get used like a rag doll but I'd love to play FB for 1 game and try and block Ray Lewis on leads up the middle.

First it would be a privilege to block for Julius. Second I'd want to face the very best even if I know I have no real shot on my best day. Kind of another privilege.
