I have not had a good feeling about any of the Cowboys games this year, but I think everything that has happened this year to the Cowboys is leading up to a Cowboy coming out party over the Eagles.

Cant put logic to it, but I feel it. If you feel it to post here.

This is a game that we should win because we are trying to close the gap on Philly and it is in our yard. When there is a hurdle to clear you start by taking care of business in your own home.

Very winnable game.

while a victory could be a catalyst for this team, even another close loss would prove we can be competitive against them. i just fear that Bill will again play things tight, hoping to stay in it until the 4th qtr, then pray. that could lead to an eagles blowout i'm sorry to say. but if by some miracle we can lead going into the 4th qtr i think our chances are good this time around. i think we'll play tough, i think we'll make some big plays, but a victory would be... priceless...

I'm thinking, all this "conservative" stuff from Parcells lately, is him disguising what he's going to dish at the Eagles come Sunday, well, not really disguising, but allowing the D to get set in the 1st 4 games that aren't really that important, getting Jules and the Oline into a run-blocking rythm, testing the passing game, so as to unleash his fury when it counts, this Sunday, I sure hope so *thumbs up*

I agree - I don't necessarily think we are the better team but for some reason - I like the intagibles this week.

We may not win this game - but we will NOT get blown out and that much I'm sure of, most likely - pretty much - kinda/sorta.

Hey!! I've been out all day but I'm with you. I might be one of the few ppl on the planet who happen to believe we are not that far from the eagles.

This team is inconsistent and as bad as we've been the last two games we could be the opposite against the eagles. We're due for a good game and I think this is it. I may be wrong in thinking that but we'll see.

As long as we play them tight, like our second game agianst them last year, I'll be excited. This could be a huge momentum boost for us. Oakland hung in there with Philly, and we could have won that Oakland game. If we are to win, Julius needs to break out of his funk. And we have to make some plays on defense. I want us to be aggressive out there. If we can just come out and hit them in the mouth, that'll be a start. Blitz them please, dont give them all day to pick us apart. McNabb is roughed up, bring the heat, and dont let him get his head into the game. Atlanta did it to Philly

I have a feeling we're either gonna win or be in position to win in the 4th quarter. For another words, the game won't be decided entering the 4th like it usually is vs the Sheagles.

All I hope for is if we jump out to a early lead Parcells has us really pour it on and runs up the score. Not to get even or anything but look at how it looked like KC put them away last week. Then the Eagle came back huge and won.

If we get a lead keep running it up and dont back down. If we get a 4 TD lead try and get a 5 TD lead. After that KC game there is no lead that is safe with Philly it looks like.

I beleive some of the doubters may get shocked this week. This teamstarted the beginning of the year with most of us talking about them needing time to gel, we pretty much threw that out the window after San Diego. Now a lot of folks are down cause they expected more.

These guys are going to come together at some point this year, I think sooner than later I think sunday is the day.

I think the Boys will pull off a win. Its at home and we are the underdog's
It seems when we are expected to win We Lose, We we are picked to lose we win.
kind of a mind game right now, But its gonna be hard fought game, maybe RW can bring back his mean streak make Philly and TO pay for playing.

May I ask what victory smells like?

I don't smell anything, but I like our chances.

Maybe tommorrow we will smell something but it will be the entire eagle nation crapping their pants when Roy levels Mcnabb.

Agreed. A blowout would be the first instinct, but I've got a weird gut feeling about this game. I expected the Cowboys to lose against the Raiders and didn't take as hard as usual when the Cowboys did lose. However, if they lose to the Eagles Sunday, I'll be very out-of-it.

The key is being able to handle the Eagles' blitz packages. Even during our hey-day, corners frequently got free blind-side shots on Aikman, leading to several fumbles...and return for TDs...and Aikman concussions...damn you...

I digress - The Raiders got great pressure on Bledsoe and the running game needs to be established better to prevent that.

Second point is who will make the play on Westbrook on 3rd down?

I respect your competitiveness, the confidence that you exhibit and the comradery. That 's some of the same stuff that's going on over at the Eagles MB. I wish you well (perhaps not as much as the Eagles, but I'm sure you'd understand that.

Alright! SO, you let's say you win tomorrow's game ...that would be just what the doctor ordered, spirits will be High, perhaps a little more swagger in your posts. Then the Giants and after that Seattle. That game with the Giants is going to be one interesting puppy. While many of you (not all have placed everything on the Eagles game, ot's truly the Giants game that will define your season. You all may not realize that, but I'll bet some of the Dallas coaches are. So while a win this week will give you momentum, confidence and all the other good stuff ...at what expense will you pay?

NOW, Let's say you lose. Will you have enough in you to spring back for a Giants team?

Just some things to think about. In the meantime, I hope your team stays healthy!

Good game in any case -- I kow you'll come to play ...but then, so will we!

Well i think we have a fair chance ot win the game, and yes PT i think if we losewe will be fine for the Giants game, because no one expected us to win anyways. Now if we get blown out again, thats a differnt story

yeah yeah yeah you know it!!! I have been telling all these eagles fans and fellow Cowboys fans that since we lost 2 games that we should not have lost, that means we are going to win 2 games that the experts figure that we would not win, which will be both games against the eagles.

Alright, alright, enough already! You guys have even convinced me that the smell of an upset is in the air ...yeah, I smell it too:rolleyes:

Now, Let's move on to the "how" do you suppose it will be done. Let's look at the Dallas offensive side of the ball ...

Bledsoe, KeShawn, JJ., and the OL must gel for this one. JJ will have to take some huge steps through a very aggressive run-stop defensive Eagle unit.

JJ is capable; but he hasn't "brought it" in the last two games. Sombody correct me on this, but I believe he is averaging 3.5 per game. But this could be his breakout game. The Eagles do Not have a counterpart to match JJ. I believe if JJ is "on" you have the edge in yards on the ground.

Mr. KeShawn Johnson- I've always liked Mr. Johnson; he's averaging 13.9 yards. It's actually Terry Glenn that is the number 4 In the NFL among top receivers. Both Terry Glenn and KeShawn Johnson will require close coverage. Their counterpart is Mr. Terrell Owens -- he is the number 1 receiver In the NFL.

Mr. Bledsoe is a a very important person tomorrow, he Is not listed among the top 5 Qbs in the NFL leader Board. His counterpart is Mr. Donovan McNabb -- he is ranked number 1 in the NFL.

Defense

NOTE: Is this stat true? Dallas does not have any interceptions thus far this year (That can't be correct). Your counterpart is Mr. Sheldon Brown - he is ranked #14 in the NFL -- he has 2 picks.

Sacks - Dallas does not have anyone listed among the top 30 players in the NFL. The counterpart is Mr. Brian Dawkins (19 tackles), and Mr. Darwin Walker - numbers 20 and 21 in the NFL.

Just a few more stats to chew on before the game ...

Dallas Rushing ...102.5 ypg - 17th in the NFL (Cowboys Have the edge)
Eagle Rushing ...75.5 ypg - 24th in the NFL

Dallas Passing ...247.0 ypg
Eagle Passing ...356.5 ypg 1st in the NFL

I mean no disrespect, but I do not want to continue crunching these numbers, besides, everyone knows that stats aren't everything:rolleyes:

Now, like I told someone on another post, if you win, I'll still be Here congratulating you and having a nice healthy plate of crow stew. But gentlemen all I can say is ...good hunting!

But gentlemen all I can say is ...good hunting!Haven't given up on Julius, he got hit in the nogin pretty good in SF, he'll be okay. Thanks for pointing out Keyshawn and Glenns good numbers, don't forget Mr. Witten and Mr. Crayton. Owens may be the #1 reciever, however I am fairly confident that our secondary can minimize his contributions, as they did with Randy Moss. Bledsoe's ranking doesn't particularly bother me, he does his thing. We've five interceptions. Two on Brees, one on Brunell, and two on Rattay. As far as sacks go, we spread the love around, but we average 3 a game. That's pretty good. You guys clearly have the edge when it comes to passing. In a way you have an advantage in all over offense. However you have a smaller recieving running back, talented though he might be, and our defense seems to have success against finesse backs. It also seems with the exception of Dat Nguyen, we are a very healthy team. Obviously you guys are favored in this contest, buy expect a very competitive Dallas at home. As you said, Good Hunting.
