Last year's SB teams (Patriots/Egirls) are both 3-2...just like us.

I think we are and if we beat the Giants...maybe top 3!

A top 5 team closes out games against Washington. We're good. And I think people will start to realize that now. If they dont they are ignorant. I still think its early to classify whos good and who isn't. Record wise, Washington was looking real good so far, but I have my suspiciouns they finnish 4th in the NFC East.

Indy is the only team I've seen play so far that has set themselves apart from anyone else.

The thing that makes a team great is the ability to come out and play well consistently. We have not yet passed that test.

This is the probably the best team we have had since 1996.

No.

We're waaay too inconsistent. I think we'll need to win next week at home against the Giants to really start to consider the NFC East a possibility.

Right now, we're trying to find our identity. I think we have the potential to be a very good team by the end of the year.

True, but if we beat the Giants at home...and we should after this game...I think we'll be one of the top teams in the leauge IMO.

when we play like we did today, we're unstoppable... before we were playing waaaaaaaay too conservative.. yet today we came out and were extremely aggressive, and look at the results? :D

Bledsoe has 10 TD's and just 3 INT's in 159 attempts. He's throwing at almost a 62% clip right now. I think he's just getting warmed up.

Oh yeah, He also has a rushing TD.

I don't know........the Giants have been very impressive. They've also had an extra week to prepare for us.

It won't be easy.

I think if we play like we're capable of on defense, then we should beat them. I think our offense can stay with them.

No, but with so many young players, we should continue to get better.

No way. String together a string say 4 wins and I think you'll have something.

Werent we just the worst team a week ago and we needed to trade everythign for Matt Leinart?

We have a long ways to go before we crack the top 5 in the league.....we are improving....Bill may have seen the light and Bledsoe is playing better than I ever imagined.

Lets just continue to improve....there is still lots of things this team needs to work on.

Not so fast. Being a top 5 team in October means nothing. See me in December and we can talk.

Yeah, the first part of the season has been a roller coaster ride. This was by far their most dominating win. It shows them all what they are CAPABLE of. That can be a big boost of confidence for the rookies, and the rest of the team as well.
The game against San Diego gave the same high, and they should have won the next game, too. But they didn't. The consistency is probably not there yet, but it was very nice that their dominating performance came against the Eagles.

Hello Giants!!

This is one of the best wins of Drews career. It reminded me of the 1996 playoff game (Steelers at Patriots), in the fog. Bledsoe opened with a bomb to Terry Glenn. Then another long TD (Martin rush) and they were ahead early and held it. I realized that Drew needed time to gel with this team. Look at the last 7 games with Buffalo - they were scoring 35 pts per game, setting all kinds of scoring records with Drew.

A view from the outside:

No, it's too early to say your a top 5 team at this point. But Dallas made a statement today that the rest of the league will pay attention to.

Put a few more weeks like this together (in the NFC) and you'll get all the accolades you could ever wish for.

well the question is...who are the 2005 Dallas Cowboys?
are they the team that spanked the igglets?
are they the team that made Mcnubb look like a huge fraud?
or are they the team that made Rattay (now benched for a rookie) look like j montana?
are they the team that held filthy offense to 3 points?
or are they the team that gave up 31 points to the worst team in the NFL?
Are they the team that shut down Ladamian Tomlinson?
or are they the team that gave up 120 yards to the buttraider RB?
Are we the team that is scrappy and guts out a win at SD and San Fran?
or are we the team that folds to Wash and Oakland?
Are we the conservative, ball control team?
or the air it out down the field team?
I think its hard to even nail down what our identity is let alone assess just how good we are. Still too early to say. I think we have to tools to be a top team for sure but we have to get enough early wins to be competitive at the end of season, when hopefully we'll be on a roll...

All of the above, but if you subscribe to the "What have you done for me lately" line of thought, you should be feeling pretty good about now.

I never felt that way.

We lost 2 close games...13-14 and 13-19.

We could have easily won both if we had been more aggressive on offense just like today.

I think it is premature to consider the Cowboys a top anything team yet. I read an article earlier this week where the Tuna said the next 4 games(including the Iggles) would be an indication of what this team could be. Well with 1 game down and 3 to go opening up the passing game seems to have helped. Having McNabb playing with pain seems to have made the D look very good. JJ still seems to need a good FB to lead block for him and I still have no idea with as much as Bill has seen of football why we don't have a good FB.

But I still think our FAs and rookies are still feeling their way into the system. Count me in with the wait until December crowd.

My only regret about this game is I didn't get to see it. Fox in DC had the skins lose to the Broncos. When I saw the first quater stats I about died.

We held them to 129 total yards and sacked McNever 4 times!

It was complete domination man!

We had only beaten this team once in the last 10 tries.

Geez...you guys are depressing.

NO we are not a top 5 team. Now if we win out against NY, SEA and ARZ before the bye week playing like we did today in winning in convincing fashon, we can talk.

Don't get me wrong, a win over the Iggles is a big deal. I just want one where the Iggles were all healthy. A McNabb at 100% for one thing. Did the Boys step up. You bet. But I felt really bad about the Skins loss and doing anything less than beating a dinged up Iglles team would have really been bad. You expect a team that considers itself a good team to shoot the wounded ducks.

That and all I had was NFL stats updates. No TV, cable or anything where I could watch the game.

But it will take a few more wins against the Iggles before I will be happy. Another 10 game wining streak against the skins too.

lets not get too carried away yet...todays win was great and after the drubbings they've put on us since 2000 it sure feels good to finally put one on them, but we did play lousy football against SF and Oakland and inexplicably blew that Washington game

how we follow up next week vs a good Giants team will be alot more telling IMO
