Props to BP and having the team the best prepared I have ever seen them. Props to coming in and playing to win by attacking on offense and putting pressure on Philly to catch up with us.
I just hope now that BP saw this worked and we won big he will get ridda the conservative game plans for good.
We played conservative at the right time. With a good lead and not doing anything that could let Philly back in the game.
This game was as perfectly called as could be.
This is the Cowboy team I know we have and was glad to see it.
I hope we come out firing against the Giants like this and put them away early to.
Please BP the game plan today WORKED!!!! Keep it up.
I know we wont win evry game left but will win most of them if we come in like this to a game.

The only call I didn't like was the run on 4th down early. I think we would have scored with playaction. But I'm happy about today. Very happy.

Of course props to the defense that allowed the #1 offense in the NFL to rack up 3 points, sacked the QB several times and total approx. 150 yards total offense.

Not this game. Parcells was the one who was running the D today. He didnt want Zimmer calling anything cuz he knew how big this game was and didnt want Zimmer to lose this one to.

Conspiracy theorists mount up. The first 4 games really set up the eagles for this game. They were really clueless in our breakout first half. Here here!

I have said all year that there is no way that a defense can cover glen, johnson, crayton, whitten on a consistent basis. Hopefully this signals the fact that Bill finally trusts Drew because we absolutley dominated this game from start to finish. This was the best game we have played as a team in as long as I can remember. WE CAN GET OPEN DOWNFIELD! PERIOD! Great game plan! Totally focused!
Jack Burton
10-09-2005, 06:43 PM
Yeah, passing early is a great way to loosen up the D. I'm glad we did it, and it's about time.
I haven't felt this good from a victory in a while. This was great stuff. Man I hate the eagles.

Bledsoe to Glenn! Bledsoe the Whitten! Bledsoe to Crayton! Bledsoe to Johnson!
He is a true stud and it's about time he was on a team that uses his talents properly!
Give him protection he'll take you apart all day long! Yeah, Baby!!!
Well its nice to see Parcells trust his QB again and open things up.....The Eagles were playing the run alot and we took advantage.....The Eagles on offence were down two scores quick and got away from their weak running attack.....The Eagles will have problems all year running because they don't have a back that can run between the tackles....I like Westbrook....great all round back....
Great game plan on the Cowboys side......still would like to see a better pass rush but the Feagles run alot of short drop pass plays.......there were alot of times that we had a LB on Westbrook but McFlabb never looked his way.
Nice win....but the Giants are next and it means nothing if we don't win that divisional game also.

10-09-2005, 08:04 PM
Yeah I agree
it seems that the game we won against them in 2003 (23 to 21) should have been played this year with the barrage of last-second heart attack games we've recieved so far this year

10-09-2005, 08:04 PM
Good point. You, like me, live in the area. The refrain in 2003 was that the Eagles blew the game with the onsides kick. This game was never in doubt. It was complete domination.
So the question remains, are we a great team who made a few key mistakes against the Redskins and Raiders? Or, are the Eagles just another mediocre team with a few lucky breaks against the Raiders and Chiefs?
Either way, WIP is going to be a joy this week ! :)

NO KIDDING!!!!
I figured I'd have to puke and then fume all week when he scored and did something crazy and disrespectful for his 100th TD then we'd have to watch the replay for years to come. Thank the good Lord! There is justice in the world.
Total domination.
Offensively we were up a 24 spot at half. Bledsoe attacked early. Our defense was able to sit back contain Beagles - game over!

We are a good team. We just played a tough schedule. If we started 2-3 with the first 5 games that's a good start. Every team we've played so far is playoff caliber. And that stretch doesn't end here. Next 2 games will be tough wins. When we play the stretch of Seattle, Arizona, @ Philly, Detroit, and Denver we need to win 4 out of 5 IMO. If we do that then we are gonna see a playoff bid for sure.

BOOOOM!!!
What was that sound you may ask. That was the sound of the window of opportunity crashing down on the Eagles' Superbowl chances this decade. Many fans witnessed this event during the Cowboys total thrashing of the Eagles in Texas Stadium this Sunday afternoon.
The Cowboys offense finally opened up the playbook from the very start of the game and exposed an overmatched and injury depleted Eagles defense that still must be wondering if anyone got the license plate of that truck that rolled right over them.
On the other side of the ball, the Cowboys defense manhandled a one-dimensional passing attack of the number one ranked offense in the league, and in the process, gave every opposing team of the Eagles a blueprint for how to stop them. It certainly does not help that the engine for this offense, McNabb, is struggling with a multitude of nagging injuries that clearly affected his playmaking ability during the entire game.
The question and concern for many Eagles fans is if this is just a one game aberration or an omen of things to come. As Mike Ditka mentioned in his post-game analysis, the Eagles will not be successful without a running game. Even Troy Aikman indicated that the Eagles have faced mediocre defenses during the last few weeks that gave the illusion of a juggernaut offense.
With 4 sacks and constant pressure in McNabb's face, the Dallas defense thoroughly dominated and confused the Eagles offense which managed only a paltry 129 yards of total offense. Many Cowboys fans have been lamenting the lack of a pass rush this season, but have to be questioning themselves after this masterful performance by a very young unit still building chemistry and learning the nuances of the 3-4 defense.
After this captivating and breathtaking performance by the Cowboys, the question is whether they will be able to continue this kind of performance week in and week out. The answer is a resounding "Yes" as long as Parcells keeps the playbook open and continues to attack opposing offenses and defenses. In all three victories this season, the Cowboys won by being aggressive and attacking defenses with a unpredictable mix of lethal passes and tough running to their respective playmakers, Terry Glenn and Julius Jones. They must continue this if they want to reach the playoffs this season.
Go Cowboys!!! :star:

Agree. Next Sunday will tell a lot more about this team. Yes, they threw off the chains of domination by the Eagles today, but was this just another variation in the inconsistancy of this season or is it a real turn-around? If they can put together a string of enthused, motivated performances, happy days will be here again. Hopefully, this gives them a positive attitude but not a big head.
