I just wanted let you guys know about a section of the Washingtonpost.com I happened upon today.

LINK (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sports/redskins/history/rivalry/rivalry.htm)

This section breaks down the history of the Skins/Cowboys Fued from the beginning and they even have the articles that were written for each gave after they were played since 1960.

Good read for those, like myself that were not born or were too young to remember some of these games.

BTW, for those of you who know about this site already, do you know if it is up all the time or is it just a special piece they are doing and will take it down eventually?

Mike, the copyright on the front page says 1998 so they must have started that archive then.

Looks like they never updated past the games of 2001 tho.

I read the Post sports section and in my experience they don't archive temporarily, so my guess is that archive is there to stay.

Who knows when they get around to including the Spurrier years tho. Maybe once they get another win vs Dallas, which might be this decade, but won't be this year.:D

Until such time the Redskins can beat us, or even give us a good game, I don't consider them a rival.

i hate how every history of the rivalry always includes the last game played at RFK stadium as some kind of big deal. Dallas would have pasted the redskins but it was the last game of the year and as i remember it, dallas' spot in the playoffs was already secured and the only way they could improve it was by winning by 73 points or more (because of tie-breakers). dallas pulled all the starters and i think herschel walker still had a big day, with a 40 yds or so td run in the last quarter. its funny how redskins-biased sources like to ignore facts like that.

Good to know. This thread was started for some of the younger posters and/or others interested in the history between the 2 clubs.

I have visited that site in the past for facts to set misguided Redskins fans straight... so I think it is a permanent fixture.

Another good site for photographic history is the Abilene Reporter News.
They have a great photo archive of past Cowboys games, but for some reason don't have any pictures from last year on there.
