hi all - i still read all your great posts daily, but i am so busy - i can never find time to post.

i figured i would pop in, throw a grenade in the room and step out, but then i reconsidered and just decided to say hi. but then i changed my mind again...
so here goes...

with all the question marks surrounding this years team, I think most of them will be answered very positively -

Quincy Carter - has a ton of potential, could still develop into a pro bowl qb. This is his year to prove it, otherwise, time to move on.

Antonio Bryant - we gotta get this kid's head right with ball - superstar potential. I bet he figures it out...

Larry Allen - will have his best year ever, barring further injury.

in case you havent noticed, i kinda wear rose colored glasses, so here is my question for all you fine fans out there:

who will be the biggest dissapointment on the team this year?

you know something will go wrong. what will it be?

Quincy?
Julius?
Pete?
Larry?

cmon, tell me - inquiring minds want to know...

Hey X. Long time

I am not going to touch the Quincy and AB points. I think every point for or/and against has been rehashed over and over again. Only time will tell.

As for Larry Allen, after reading Parcells book a couple of days after he joined the team I was not surprised their egos clashed, but I also predicted that Larry Allen would come to camp in shape and play for the Cowboys in 2004 whilst most fans were knee jerking away. I recommend all Cowboy fans read Parcells book. It lends a better understanding of how Parcells operates. It goes as NO surprise that the poster that knows Parcells the best (LaTuna) is considered the best poster on the forum by most.

As for who or what will go wrong it depends on how the team fairs.

If the Cowboys are successful with Carter as the starter.......... well the Cowboys were successful last year ;)

If the Cowboys don't fair well the starting QB always gets the largest amount of critism. It's the way it has been. I don't think it's ever going to change. I recall just as many loyal Steve Walsh fans as Troy fans. Only SuperBowl championships bring fans together on the QB situation (or in other words silences the critics)

My vote for dissapointing player goes to Pete Hunter. I really hope I'm wrong but to expect this guy to come in to one of the most important positions on the team and play well enough to hold down the fort is dangerous. You know he'll be bombarded with Newman opposite him and I'm afraid he just might not hold up. If you're weak at one of the CB positions... touchdowns are the result (or a weak run defense as you roll safeties over to help).

There certainly is a chance he could do just fine, and if he does Parcells and JJ will come out smelling like a rose. I just think that he's a likely candidate to be a dissapointment this year considering the consequenses of a blown play when you're a cornerback.

I'm afraid Woodson may be the winner.

For me it is hard to say. You never know who may be amoung the surprise cuts. But, of the players likely to make the final roster, I'll stick my neck out on the line and go with...........Tony Dixon. No wait, he has won that award before let me pick another. Randal Williams. Even if he catches 10 passes this year. :(
