The recently released RB is a gift waiting to be taken....regardless of better days behind him, EG is the perfect guy to come in and compliment Julius Jones....The addition of EG at the right price is a no brainer...a tough runner, team player.....pure and simple, its adding depth, talent and character....if you can get a player like that, you grab him....for all of you thinking we dont need him, wake up.....Julius Jones may be the real deal, but c'mon, we are weak at the RB spot.....we could use another player who adds to the talent pool.....EG has 2-3 yrs left in which he can be that tough 15-20 carry guy, or at the very least a great insurance policy for Jones.....JJ, Tuna, go get Eddie George!!!! Now!!!

dont forget the experience he brings. He could help JJ with training and valuable knowledge. Not to mention a decent saftey net incase JJ goes down or is unable to carry the load. I know this isnt a "Contender Year" but win = money and we arnt playing to lose. Im hoping at we make it to 12 - 4 but our division is stacked against us. We shall see.

Michael... you are particularly, and out of character, animated about this George subject... very unlike you...
Something underlying? Would you feel better if I asked how you are doing this evening? I am worried about my Cowboy friend in 'bills country...

Think of it a different way....do we really want a RB back in here that hasn't been over 4.0 YPC in what.....over 5 years?
Take the name off of his back and I think people would be saying different things.
I will admit that him being a veteran and if he has the ability to teach Julius Jones the nuances of being an NFL RB, then that is fine......but then again, that's what the coaches are for....particularly the RB coach.

Well I've been filling Travis Henry's head with the idea that Willis McGahee isn't just going to take his job he's going to take his girlfriend too... And that Travis' mother likes Willis more.
I think that will do it.

At 41 is VT? George is a 240 pound power back that would fluorish as our backup.

Never missed a start - great Vet backup to push Jones?
Maybe Wiley knows something?

If we wanted a RB that averages 3.2, 3.3 yds per carry we should have just kept Hambrick.
Eddie Geoerge is just a name these days. Don't buy into it, Parcells won't.

I think that Cowboys should get Eddie George because he could contribute as a locker room player, off-the-field person to the younger people, he could be like a little Coach type player (like Vinny Testeverde), he could also come up with some ideas from Titans Playbook, and he could carry the ball well.
GET EDDIE IN HERE NOW....!
