Thorton did not get cut for playing bad, the amount of defensive line talent created a numbers crunch. I think BP would have prefered to keep him.

Hate the red on the Giants uni. Pretty ugly stuff indeed. What's up with that juggernaut that is the Giants offense. Only 3 pts in the 2nd qtr. Oh I see, they're in San Fran. Eli doesn't play well away from home.

the 49'ers have been very tough at home this year, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did beat the Giants who are bad on the road. Especially Eli

That is not a catch!!!!

No catch, Giants got a gift on that one. There is no doubt that the ball hit the ground between his arms and moved to the point that he almost lost possession of it as he was rolling over.

I could see them blowing the call, but how do you watch it in slow motion on instant replay and STILL get it wrong? That's why I have to admit that I sometimes wonder if the refs aren't on the take. They simply don't have any excuses for getting these calls wrong unless they are doing it on purpose.

The Giants did what they were supposed to do. They beat what could easily be the worst team in football. They contained an offense captained by Cody freaking Pickett. They struggled for most of the game, but distanced themselves as it went on and won comfortably. I don't think it was an impressive showing by any means, but they did what they needed to do.
