View Full Version : Bledsoe MVP?

I have read a lot of analysts' talk about their pick for MVP at the halfway point and their honorable mentions. I have always thought that the MVP meant a player most valuable to their team, not 'HSP' -- highest stat player. That being said, my vote is for Drew Bledsoe. Except for a few fourth-quarter breakdowns, he would be leading a team that could easily be 7-1. Now that is an MVP."

My heart says Bledsoe..my head says Carson Palmer..better stats and Cincy would be 1-15 without him.

let's not forget Jake Plummer, who will probably end up with comeback player of the year too.

Like cowchips said, 1-15 without him.
Bledsoe will have to put up some gaudy numbers and lead us to 11-5, 12-4 to even be mentioned for MVP. Comeback player? Yes. MVP? There are several others in the running.

Bledsoe has played way above the level I expected (so far) but the fact is this team has been the most talented team to take the field in my estimation 6 of the 7 games we've played. And quite honestly our record is not in my opinion up to our level of talent. That being said I would have a difficult times saying that Bledsoe should be MVP. I agree on Carson Palmer... just knock-out numbers.

What about Eli? I thought he was supposed to be in the running too?

No way Bledsoe wins. His name doesn't end in Manning.

I love what Bledsoe is doing, and I'm on this site largely because I've been a fan his whole career, but if the season ended today, there are at least 3 guys ahead of him.
Plummer. There's your AFC SuperBowl team right there, and I'm from New England.
Ladanian Tomlinson. Jeez, one bye week, and we forget about him.
Palmer. Stats and a remarkable showing by a perennial stinky team.

Hey we have all learned by now that you should never let things like facts or logic get in the way of making a point.
It does help, however, to spell in all caps, throw in a few !!!!, and end your post with a catchy little phrase like next, regards or bring it.:D
I almost forgot rating the thread a 5 star, to bring attention to it, never hurts either.
