am i the only one who thinks Drew Bledsoe has the personality of a piece of cowhide? i like the job Drew has done for us, but man is he a bad inteview, and in his press conferences its like he hates to even be there. :star:

Some people , like me, have good and fun personalities, but freeze up when in front of lots of people with just a spotlight on u. When Im on the field it's lights out for other players. When Im in front of freinds/family/audience etc it's light out for me.

if you're refering to his post game interview, I just think that he was highly upset at himself for letting the Eagles get that 14-7 halftime lead
he always seems disappointed even if he makes one mistake
I like that

yeah, he sucks as a quarterback, too. damn, he can't move at all.

His interviews remind me some of Larry Bird. Very dry and dull.

its just his personality - he takes his job very seriously and he's on a mission this year to prove himself. very focused, very intense, very critical of mistakes whether his or a teammates. he's the leader of this offense, make no mistake about that... and that's the way it should be. i won't dock him any points on personality.

Bledsoe has always struck me as one of the cooler players in the league, the kind of guy with whom it might actually be interesting to sit and chat.

I think he's just a laid back guy, other than he realizes his career is winding down.

He would rather be riding his Harley on the open road than doing an interview. I can't blame any player that doesn't like or enjoy doing interviews. That is the part I would hate.

Have you ever seen a Tom Brady interview? He is not the most exciting guy either. The key is if he is a leader and he is! Nothing else matters to me.

I like Drew's interviews, for the most part. He's no BS, matter of fact. I really don't need all the fluff and self depricating "Watch Me" type stuff. I like the fact that he approaches interviews very matter of fact like. Good solid answers that are clear and consise (sp?). The game is the draw, to me. I don't really get into watching all the players turn things like press conferences into photo/sound bite ops.
I guess I just like the guy.

I like Drew's personality and think he interviews well... At least he sounds like a leader.
If you think Bledsoe's personality is cowhide, what did you think about Vinny last year? :(

I just hope we never see a Cowboys QB moonwalking in the end zone...that's just ugly!

Just the thought of Bledsoe doing a moonwalk makes me laugh.
Picture Niel Armstrong circa 1969 and his famous "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" version of the moon walk and I think you might can see Drew fitting the profile a little better.

Some people here really DON'T GET WHATS IMPORTANT. Obviously his performance is the most important thing, but the personality of athletes is an important element. It's what made someone like Michael Irvin so cool as a player. Even T.O. makes life interesting (we need people to despise.) If everyone player were like Greg Ellis, it would be a very boring league.

Having watched him in boston for years, he can be pretty funny, but I kinda think he only cuts it up when he's feeling good about his performance. He had a lot of detractors on sports radio, but usually had a good rapport with them. I think everyone was aware they got away with one Monday, and perhaps a little mindful of their coach's situation. Wasn't a time to be yukin' it up, ya know?
Troy Aikman was no ball of giggles
Lets give our players some slack. It would not be so fun for us if we were interviewed after a bad day at work?

I don't care how they come across in interviews. I care how they get the ball to go across the goal line.

i agree Drew is very dry and his humor is dry too of the sarcastic variety. Of course vinny and aikman aint much better. Drew just has more of the ego and sarcasm that makes his interviews more irritable
Parcells is one of the best as far as entertainment value is concerned.

Not everyone can be a Keyshawn Johnson...a non-stop sound byting, fillerbustering, monologing stream of spontaneous quips.
One on any team is prolly enough.

Blackbear, having witnessed one of the most acrimonious QB controversies ever on sports boards when your fanbase tore itself up over Flutie-Johnson, I am not surprised you'd follow Big Neil here to bust his chops over Losman-Bledsoe. You Bills fans are nuts.
Just remember Bledsoe is a Cowboy now and even those of us (like myself) who dread more than anything a repeat performance in the crunch like last year's Bills-Squealers finale, have DB's back so long as he is a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
