Man, my tongue bout snapped out just saying that and my fingers broke typing it........
Anybody out there rooting for the stinking Beagles this weekend to beat the Giants and help "THE" Boys out? I am, don't like it, but I am. Was just curious what you all thought.

I was discussing how to root for team with my wife. Actually, I was giving her the priority list. It goes like this:
1) ALWAYS root for the Cowboys
2) root against the NFC East team
2a) if two NFC East teams are playing, root for the one with the worse record
3) root against the NFC
3a) if two NFC teams are playing, root for the one with the worse record
Then of course, there are exceptions.
- home field advantage on the line
- playoff spot on the line
Root for whichever team can help the Cowboys either get into the playoffs or obtain home field advantage throughout.

let's just root for a tie.
i will try to root for the eagles, but in the past every time i have tried this as soon as something goes sour for them i find myself jumping up and down and i have to keep reminding myself, no you want them to win this week.

I have a problem with this. Say the Eagles win. They are(were) a championship team with loads of playoff experience. If they suddenly go on a run (say it aint so), end up in the playoffs and we have to face them for any reason. I would much rather face a young Giants team, than a Beagles team with loads of momentum. With that being said, a Giants loss certainly helps us in the division, but as of now, we own the tiebreaker. I'm torn.........

I'm sure Phoenix Talon and Tobias will be proud of us that are pulling for a Giants loss sunday....... this pains me but I hope the Eagles beat them 3-0 in OT!

This week, Go Eagles!!!!!!!
I absolutely think the Eagles will beat the Giants .. and thats not homerism. Having McMahan QB helps Philly bigtime. He is not a McNabb obviously, but he is healthy and mobile - which McNabb was not. Also dont forget the Philly D looked pretty good and they ran like the wind against us. Philly also has a much better special teams than the giants. Put that with a team on the ropes that rarely loses to the NYG, I really like Philly to beat up a severely overrated Manning.
Philly wins outright.

BINGO!
Beware of the Eagles...they have a very "easy" schedule after they play the Giants.
They could run the table, even without McNabb.
Their 2 road games after this week are at St Louis and Arizona.
The other four games are Home games, and we all know how tough they play at home.
Therefore, I hope the Giants knock them out this weekend. Although, even with another loss, the Eagles could end up 10-6 and in the playoffs, with a ton of momentum.

No, Eagles all the way in the game. The Eagles are not a threat to Dallas for the rest of the year barring a miracle run by them and a collapse from us. The Giants on the other hand need to be taken down a peg or two by a division loss. With the sweep, Dallas is 3 games ahead of Philly and only a half game ahead of Giants.

Until the Eagles are mathamatically eliminated from the playoff picture...i will not favor (i would never use the word root) them to win. I say bury the Eagles till they can no longer breath.

whoever challenges us for the division I want to see lose.
I will NOT BE MAD if the Eagles beat the Giants since the Eagles are on the bottom and the Gints are tied with us.

Go Eagles!
Even when the Eagles were running away with the NFC East, they still had problems with Collins and Barber. The Giants defense started off a little slow, but they've looked like world beaters the last 3 or 4 games. Both teams are trying to bounce back from very bad losses. Its a toss-up, but the Giants are the favorite for good reason.
Go Raiders!
The Redskins are undefeated at home this year. If the Redskins D makes Chis Simms look like Payton Manning, what are they going to make Kerry Collins look like? The Raiders have a bad defense, and I expect the Redskins to move the ball pretty easily. If the Raiders can come up with some takeaways, they'll have a shot.

Yeah, gotta root for Oakland, NO DOUBT. I really think that the Raiders can win, so that wouldn't surprise me at all.
The tougher game is the Giants-Philly game, for obvious reasons. I HATE the eaGALS, so I want them buried and OUT of the playoffs no matter what... BUT as a Cowboy fan, I HAVE to hope the Giants lose, since we are tied with them for 1st and still have to play the G-Men in NJ.
The Cowboys MUST take care of business FIRST and beat the Lions... another should win game that means it's a MUST-WIN game. If we can beat the Lions and the eaGALS beat the Giants we are now 1 full game up on the Giants with the tiebreaker, plus it give the Giants another Division loss.
The eaGALS would still be 3 games behind us with 6 to go, so that is still a good distance - although with the eaGALS NEVER let down your guard... hopefully they will lose a couple more games and knock themselves out of the playoffs. I don't think that McMahon will make the eaGALS much better and will still have inconsistant play for the rest of the season.
We shall see... keep winning Cowboys!!!
GO COWBOYS!!!

At this point in the season and with NFC East champsionship/playoff seed on the line, I always root in whichever way helps the Cowboys. If I gotta root for Eagles, Giants and even the hated Redskins or any other team, I do it with my love for the Cowboys ALWAYS FIRST in mind. So this weekend, my favorite teams are the Eagles & Raiders along with who ever is playing Seattle & Carolina. I think (hope) we win the division but have concerned about being first/second seed so we can a buy. With Seattle & Carolina one up in wins against us, we need them to drop a game now & we win against the Lions. That would leave us all with the same record. Worry about who needs to lose/win next week.

I have a dislike for all other NFL teams except Dallas. I hate the other NFC East teams, and it all depends on that season in regards to how I root for them. Philly won't drop 4 in a row, IMO. They just need to run the damn ball. They showed they can get it done. Go Birds this week.

I don't hate the Giants at all but I wouldn't mind if they lost this weekend as it helps us big time. Even if they beat the Eagles, all is good as it basically buries the Eagles.
Think of it this way, either way we win.
oh my gosh......i have to pull for the EAGLES and the RAIDERS
both this weekend. definitely gonna have to shower after
watching both of those...and offer a mea culpa to the Cowboy Shrine
in my office.
but hey, whatever it takes to get the Boys to the Bowl.

I say go Eagles, Raiders, 49ers. But who to root for between the 7-2 Panthers and the 6-3 Bears? Help me figure it out. My first thought is Bears.

Sorry guys i cant fathom myself rooting for the e-girls. The midgets will blow them away. No mcflabb, no owens, and a defense that sucks on the road, plus the midgets will be a little pissed off at losing to the viqueens. Save you energy, rooting for philty is a lost cause.

Watch out what you wish for my friends...The Eagles may not be dead by a longshot...their schedule is as easy the rest of the year as ours is difficult...add a non-injured quarterback who doesnt throw 4th quarter interceptions...the Fecals may be down but they are not out yet...let the Giants put the golden spike through their hearts while they are down...

I was in Exton, PA on business this week. I have had great fun ribbing my business counterpart on the game. So I went to the front desk to sign in and the lady asked me "Are you here to see Mike..?" I said yes and she said "He's already signed in for you.....You are from the Philadelphia Eagles, right? LOL!
Anyway, I think I root for the Eagles this week.
As an aside, the outfit I went to see in Exton has been rated the best small company in America to work for. After seeing what they do for their employees all I can say is "Wow!"
