Only 3 teams have a better record than Dallas. Had we not blown the Seattle game, to which I attribute poor play by the Defense, Special Teams and Offense, we would already be in the elite. But now we have a second chance: beat 8-2 Denver to go to 8-3. Then they only have to win 2 of their remaining 5 games for a playoff spot. Lose and nobody will take them seriously. Denver outscores opponents by an average score of 29-14 at home, but their average score is only 21-21 on the road. Dallas meanwhile has never allowed more than 14 at home, where their average score is a 23-11 win. The odds suggest this game will end Dallas 22, Denver 16.

(the averages suggest that score rather).

I think the D played well in Seattle. Seattle is a good team, particularly at home. And their D played a good game also. The weather hurt both offenses. We got too conservative in the red zone and Cortez spit the bit, THAT's why we lost that game.

Averages are not a good measure to work with.

What if I told you I could book you on a Caribbean Island vacation where the average age all of the girls there was 25 years old? Sounds nice ... but once you get there, you find all the women to be 50 along with their infant grand-daughters.

Averages = bad!!!

Well, that would make those mothers about 25-30 years old... ;)

Averages can be misleading, but we need to look at this as a Denver road game and a Dallas home game, not just 8-2 vs 7-3. They are only better because they are 6-0 at home and played only 4 road games. That's why Vegas doesn't list them as a favorite.

When we win this game, ESPN and all the other networks will just write it off as a "bad game" by Denver or something

Absolutely, and of course the G-men will be the class of the NFC because thay are about to play the Cowboys.......

OK, just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me. ;)

As will most people on this board. Judging by the topics I have been reading today.

This is huge, because if we win, at 8-3 we'll pretty much be guaranteed a playoff spot.

Thanks for narrowing it down for us. ;)

It's true though - the Defense played well but not on the final drive. The Offense was too conservative and Drew thew a late pick. The special teams allowed 55 and 50 yard FGs while missing a 28 yard FG.

Nope, but the mothers aren't there ... only the grandmothers and infant daughters.

Then the most important question of the thread is, what happened to all the hot mommies?
