Though the Giants may be in more pieces than ours with THREE missed chances to win.

I believe the NFC looks like this...
BYEs:
1 - Seattle (9-2)
2 - Chicago (8-3)
Homefield First Round / Division Winners:
3 - Carolina (8-3)
4 - Dallas (7-4)
Wild Cards:
5 - New York (7-4)
6 - Tampa Bay (7-4)
Outside Looking In...
Atlanta (7-4)
Minny (6-5)
Just about done for the year...
St Louis (5-6)
Washington (5-6)
Philly (5-6)
I could be wrong on the wild card teams/order, but to my understanding... that is what it would look like.
Looking at it for Dallas, I'd say they have to beat Washington, New York, and St. Louis or Carolina to be sitting in fairly good position to get in the playoffs.

Chicago looks like the team to beat this year. Their D looks every bit as good as the Ravens' D of 2000.
Teams just can't score on them. If Peyton Manning runs into the Bears D, they're gonna mash him to the ground.
Some more updates - head to head is a tie breaker and then NFC record is a tie breaker
Again - non divisional. Divisional is head to head then division
*Seattle 9-2 8-1
*Carolina 8-3 5-2
*Dallas 7-4 6-2
*Chicago 8-3 7-1
Giants 7-4 6-3
Atl 7-4 4-3
TB 7-4 5-3
Minn 6-5 5-4
The teams trailing us have poor NFC divisional records.
If we can take Giants down we are in very good shape. Almost mathematically win East unless we implode or Skins run table.

Nope - all Indy would have to do is score 13 points and they'd win.
This coming from someone who has said "watch out for the Bears" for a couple of weeks.
Its looking like NFC semi will go through Chicago and Seattle.
I like our chances if we can win a home playoff game going up against both.
Seattle is a cat - and running out of lives.
Wolves nipping at their heels.

We should have beat them. The Giants should have beat them. Instead of being 9-2 imagine if they were only 7-4. Hmmmmmmmm.
The NFC is wide open. No dominant team that is unbeatable.
Lets right this now and take out Giants....
Skins
Panthers
Rams
Chiefs
we can do this!

NFC scenarios
• Cowboys would be NFC East champion based on head-to-head win over the Giants.
• Bears would be No. 2 seed in NFC based on head-to-head win over the Panthers.
• Giants would be No. 5 seed based on better conference record than the Bucs.
• Bucs would be No. 6 seed based on head-to-head win over the Falcons.
AFC scenarios
• Bengals are ahead of the Steelers in the AFC North for now. However, if the Steelers win Monday night, they would be ahead of the Bengals based on head-to-head win.
