We sure do. If we want any remote shot at making a cameo in the playoffs. We still might make it anyway... but how embarrising would that be.

I agree, anyone who thinks we've got a chance at the playoffs with our current OT situation is kidding themselves. It's on thing to have 1 mediocre OT, and try to cover it up with a TE - but both our OT are suspect and we're going to continue to be exposed. It's not like this was the first bad performance out there.

Give him a contract till the end of year, we have nothing to lose and the cap room to do it.

I agree. It is becoming chronic. But signing Verba would be pretty silly at this point.
We have to deal with it. There is no hope for a calvary to ride in a rescue the day, let alone a loose cannon like Verba who is still out there for a reason.

Verba likely wouldn't be ready to play before the playoffs anyway.

I'd rather he look and act like a serial killer, than a matador - which is what we have today.

We brought Verba in a few weeks ago but had no interest in signing him. I think the word was he wasn't there mentally or similar reason for not offering him a contract.

I thought he looked great in his workouts - it was the craziness that turned BP and JJ off.

Barrow got a minimal contract.
Verba wants big money on a long term deal. He would have a job right now if it weren't for his stupid salary demands.

I'll take all the nasty attitudes - on the field of course - I can get. Watching Merriman play it seems he plays with a bit more attitude than Ware and this OL hasn't been had an attitude for years. I remeber hearing something about Peterman being a pretty nasty guy, but since he's been hurt for pretty much his entire time as a Cowboy, that doesn't matter much.
This team needs an infusion of toughness on the offense. Not saying Verba is the answer, but the OL definitely needs a nastier attitude (as well as better talent).

Maybe Columbo gets a shot at LT next weekend.

Huh? Peterman has been healthy all year.
