However if you start some silly name calling again...as you did in that thread...we will be talking via PM about other things.

That is simply false. Look at the 3 TDs: in all cases Drew's team was trailing. One was arguably the greatest throw of his life - the 71 yard flee flicker that I missed when I was on a payphone. The other was an absolutely perfectly throw ball to Witten (as was the one off Keyshawns face). And in the final drive Drew had 2 TDs, but Witten dropped one.

AND KC offset their poor defense by SCORING 28 POINTS.

Come on Big Neil. You are losing all credibility as a Cowboys fan because you are trying to make everyone here "praise" Drew. You are putting Drew before the team and that is not fair just as trying to blame Drew for the short comings on the 'O' line. Take your pick but you can't have it both ways.

Can you admit that the offensive line played better and should we congratulate them as well? What about MBIII who's running forced the KC defense to play up on the line allowing us to sell the flea flicker?

The Offensive line played outstanding! The receivers made some clutch catches. Terry was awesome. The Defense came up with one of the biggest plays in Dallas history IMO - that fumble recovery turned around the game and the season. That's what Championships are made of.

How about that third down conversion to Key on our winning drive. Bledsoe did that scary "half hitch pump-thing" that he gets routinely bashed for. But on that play, it gave his WR an extra split second to separate so he could fall forward for the first.

I said it last week- you've got to take the good with the bad. I lost track of how many key completions were the direct result of Drew hanging tough in the pocket. I give Payton credit for exploiting a weak secondary deep and thank my stars that we have a QB who is a heady gamer when it counts.

Didn't Drew eclipse 42 year old Vinny today in Completions at age 33?

He also passed Fran Tarkenton in and moved into the #5 spot.

He also passed HOFer Len Dawson with 240 TDs (a star from 1970 you should read about on Hall of Fame for #15.

Drew today also passed Dan Fouts for #6 all time.

Drew reached 20 TDs and 3000 yards, for I'm sure a record number of times.

I've never understood the anti-Bledsoe stuff, to be honest. The local news here in San Antonio did a thing earlier this week on why Bledsoe isn't the answer.

The guy is going to be in the Pro Bowl this season, will finish with one of the best individual performances at the position statistically in the last 15 years, and could take our team to the postseason. He has weaknesses -- ton of them -- but he has more than enough strengths to balance them all out. We'll need to find an eventual replacement since he's toward the end of his career, but there's no reason why he can't be our starter for at least two more seasons. The guy's a real good player.

as everyone i'm sure noticed, Drew was moving around quite a bit more - stretching the pocket a bit before stepping up into his throws. some of the passes were straight timing passes like Aikman used to throw, and he did a great job on the read getting Glenn the ball on that TD - though he probably looks to Glenn first on nearly every pass play...
way to come thru with a great game, and congrats on the all-time chart climbing. as it stands i'll take Drew over any other realistic option for '06.

#1, Great job by the coaching staff today for giving what a lot of us have wanted, and that's to stop with so much max protect and put more receivers in the route and rely on the QB and his targets to put some pressure on the defense, not vice versa. Drew made some tremendous throws today, but I don't don't think any of us have quesioned his ability to do that...

#2, Great job by Drew, Glenn, Witten, Barber and everyone else, OL included for making it work. This is the way this team should play football regardless of the defensive strength of the opponent. Let's hope we continue to play this way on into the playoffs.

Great win today!

drew has next-to-zero mobility. but if he's given adequate time he will make opponents pay. today he was given adequate time.

we knew he'd need protection when he signed on the line. and since then he's delivered, IMO, way more than we had any reasonable expectation for.

in short, the cowboys have gone as far as drew has. he is the cowboys. like it. hate it. it's the truth. and it will continue to be for what remains of this season.

I think this game sealed the deal. The voting ends this week, and the while Drew leads the NFC QBs in fan voting, that only counts as 33%. After todays game I would think the coaches will realize that Drew's rating is at a career high and will want to give the fans what they want.

Drew's season rating now stands at a career high 89.5. With the Rams to finish the season, he has a shot at his first 90 rated season. Troy did it twice - in 95 and 99.

Who will be here next week? Buffalo Bledsoe or Dallas Drew?

Have your day Neil. Drew play very, very well today.

I just hope this coaching staff agrees, that the only chance we have to anything this season, is if they keep the reigns off.

Dallas Drew shows up next week. And the NEW Dallas offensive coaching staff shows up with him.

Drew is on a pace for 3720 yards and 25 TDs with 13 INTs - that will eclipse the best stats Troy put up in his 1992 season (3460 or so yards, 23/14). Both with 89.5 rating.

Yeah, you want to hold off on this Troy vs Drew deal.

Troy Aikman was handing the ball off to the All-Time rushing leader, which inevitably took away from his stats.

Drew is having a very good season.

But for now Aikman > Bledsoe

Given that that 1992 team was obviously a lot better than this one, I think that means Drew individually had to play better to have better numbers. Troy did have more YPA hence the same rating. As of 1992, Troy hadn't won any SB yet.

Of course, Drew has to keep up that pace for 3 more games and win the SB to draw a true comparison to 1992.

Who will be here next week? Buffalo Bledsoe or Dallas Drew?

Last week he looked worse than Buffalo Bledsoe. Don't forget Bledsoe had 20 TD's last year in Buffalo with a sub par line. He looked lost last week. But the truth is he was getting hammered and that will do that to any QB but particularly Drew because he can't make plays with his legs.

This week? The line gave him a fighting chance. And he responded by making plays. His bad games this year have coincidentally been rough games for the OL. Bledsoe is what he is- really good when protected decent and with some semblance of a running game, really bad without.

So tell me how the OL does next week and I'll tell you how Bledsoe will do. It's shocking to me that after 13 games people still find this surprising.

The line played well today, but I still think Drew got rid of the ball little quicker today which made the line look better.

Drew got rid of the ball a little quicker because he had more options as pass receivers.

To add to that, we may be learning that putting Drew in an ultra conservative offense is the absolute worst thing to do for him. (I've suspected it and said all along.)

These are the games that make Bledsoe's season numbers look passable if one only looks at stats. When he gets a defense with an exploitable secondary and a vastly below average pass rush from the dline in perfect weather, this is the Bledsoe we see.

Next week in Washington, he gets a very questionable secondary and a non-existent d-line push. If the weather breaks he'll have a huge day and people will be contacting the Vatican with sainthood questions. It doesn't and we'll see the Bledsoe from the last month.

It really is that simple.

Some defenses fit his style, some don't. Fortunately for Dallas, Washington and St. Louis fit.

Not really. Last year he had 20 TD 16 INT.

This year he has 20 TD 11 INT. That is, last year he had 45% more interceptions. Plus, he's on a pace for 25 TDs 13 INT this year.

1 TD 2 INT was not nearly as bad as Buffalo Bledsoe's games such as last year's Burgermore Ravens game (0 TD 4 INT) or the 2nd Pats game (0 TD 3 INT). Since that Pats game Drew is 14-6, 7-3 on the road, with 31 TD 15 INT and his 6 losses by a combined 24 pts (4 ppg).

Same old stroy. Give him time to throw and he will do OK. Really stepped up today after last week. That is what we need from here on.

I love when Bledsoe DOES, cause he CAN, why so many always forget all he can DO is beyond me.

The guy is a trooper with a big heart and I'll say it again I couldn't be more happy that he's with us instead of some journeyman bus-driver we could have been with. Or god-forbid, Vinny AGAIN. (Whoa, I just got motion-sickness thinking of the way he drives bus)
