I knew he was hurt but I didn't think he was this bad off.

Pat Yasinkas, of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers RB Stephen Davis (knee) has been placed on Injured Reserve, ending his 2005 season. His time as a Panther might be over as well. Davis will count $3.85 million against the salary cap for the 2006 season and is due a roster bonus of over $1 million in March. The Panthers could free up over $2.5 million in salary cap space if they release Davis.

YEAH, not to be an A** but he's done as a Panther and maybe as an NFL Player. In my opinion he lost a lot of burst and doesn't find the holes like he used to.

He will find a job somewhere next year maybe even in Washington....

Has Carolina tanked, or do they have a guy to step in? Their offense is based on power running, so i can't imagine they'll pose much of a postseason threat. Davis was a good runner - maybe he'll come back a la the Bus...

Davis was a good runner - maybe he'll come back a la the Bus...Foster is a real good player, a shifty runner but he has some power too. He's finally 100% healthy, I expect he'll fill in for them just fine.

Foster is good, and just think, there was a big cry to get Davis in here (from the fans), then he went to the Panthers.

Yep-Parcells has made some head-scratchers here(i.e. Jacob Rogers).

However-he's made alot more GOOD personnel moves than bad. There have been plenty of other "big cries to get [fill in the blank]" b/c of their marquee value-but only to go to other teams, but they've become subsequently washed up recently too. :D
