1st it would hurt the Skins cuz Gregg Williams basically won thse 10 games for them...We have alot of young tatent on the defensive side and he could turn them into Pro Bowlers..especially the LBer....he has devoloped some really good LBers while he was with the Skins.....And Mike Marts would open up the offense and get us scoring 27 points per game....

Does he run a 3-4 scheme? If not, he's useless here.

What about Mike Marts for Head coach and Casper(?)(coach od Texans) for defensive cordinaterKeyshawn and Crayton would have to go then. Plus, I do like to mix in some runs every now and then. Martz doesn't believe in running the ball.
Our O Line would have to be build like a prison wall, cause our QB would get killed with all the 5 man routes and only 5 blockers.

Martz is a horrible head coach...he actually has no business being one. He is a coordinator.

I am not saying that I am for this.....
I think the team is getting close and to bring in a whole other system would set us back 3 or 4 more years...
Plus Peyton being passive may have more to due with the talent on the OLIne and the youth of the defense...

i Would love for Gregg Williams to be our next head Coach with a proven offensive that can maximize our talent level

What is the HC love for Greg Williams all of a sudden?
It's not only him, but about 1/2 of these "genious" coordinators are nothing but ticking time-bombs as HC's. Why the heck do Ray Rhodes and Dom Capers still get HC jobs?

I hope people arent too fooled with Greg Willams ...
It was not so long ago he coached the Bills and how did that work out?
Plus just because you are a good coordinator dose not always translate into a good HC....See Norv Turner

Gregg Williams did have some bad times in Buffulo but I know he has learned from it...He is turning no-name LBers into Pro-Bowler and Busts(Springs) in to top Corners...Think about what he can do with our team..Our Defence is better talented than the Skins defence...We can set records

Springs has not been a bust he had some injuries before he got to Washington but when healthy he has always been a superior corner.
as for linebackers , I would not call Lavar Arrington and Marcus Washington no name players ... M. Washington got a huge contract from them when they bought him away from the Colts...Even Warrick Holdman was decent when with the Bears....Not a superstar but decent...

Is anyone else worried about what Keyshawn and Terry Glenn turn into if Parcells leaves?

Not really, no. Key behaved nicely under Tony Dungy too, FWIW. And Dungy had an offensive system in Tampa that is worse than Bill P's here.
Glenn was just a mixed up guy in NE-but has matured alot since.

Although I like "The Big Tuna" I think Jerry Jones will count his gains and cut his losses and save himself the last portion of that 17.4 million dollar, four year contract Bill Parcells signed with the Cowboys.
This whole discussion leads me to wonder if there is not some butting of heads between The Tuna and Jerry that was concealed better than the highly publicize Jimmy Johnson Jerry Jones show-down.
Parcells didn't seem to be able to accomplish what he had in the past with other teams. Some would say that BP is just old. Perhaps there something more just below the mirky surface. Many old time fans are well aquainted with Jerry Jones head strong behavior (which I don't fault him for) when your in his position you can be that way.
I would hate to see BP quit on his final lap of his four year deal with the Cowboys, and his career as a head coach in the NFL. Just finish the final lap so you can say "win or lose, I finished and I've got my dignity."
Some of you are thinking "screw this lose stuff", but I think that BP can establish a solid foundation for the franchise if he finishes his contract. Win or lose.
It's been obvious that BP has been trying to get a final quicky out of his career, hence Vinny and Drew. However if BP stays I think the whole approach will be slightly different in 2006. Jerry will say, for 17 million I want you to leave me with a foundation I can build with. I think that is respectable for to old men, don't you?
Seventeen million dollars is a lot of money to give an old man in exchange for NO championships and NO Superbowls, don't cha think? For the money we've got to get more out of Parcells than what we've gotten. Parcells has the track record now lets milk him on the final lap just like he does his players.
I think I can guarantee you the if BP finishes this four year deal that Jerry will ensure he gets his money worth.
17 freaken million dollars for goodness sakes. I don't know what other head coaches in the NFL make but I think the fans and the franchise deserve more.
I'm sure many of you are seeing the conflict in my comments, and I admit they are there.
As far as Parcells is concerned... make him do what he expects of his players, which is produce more and do it now.
As far as Jerry Jones is concerned... cut the coach save the money and move on.
Again, I realize there are conflicts in my comments... but my rant.

Jerry wanted Canty in the 3rd, and BP thought he would still be there in the 4th, and Jerry said in an interview (that I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears) that it was about to get a little tight in there had we not gotten Canty.

I admire Jerry for going after a Bill Parcells a couple of years ago.
HOWEVER-if Jerry is really serious about turning this franchise around, he NEEDS a *GM* First. Forget about Bill P's stubborness, Jerry's has been worse.

I saw what Greg Williams did as HC in Buffalo and I dont want any part of that. Some guys are eternal OC/DC and should never get the HC job, Williams appears to be one of those guys. I don't know who I want, if this scenario happens but I have a long list of people I wouldnt want to see fill that position. I think this is a lean year for available head coaches, nothing overly impressive out there, at least as far as I am concerned.
