Ryan Fowler has looked awfully good the past two games. He led the team with 9 tackles last night. Can he be trusted with a starting job next year?

Sure, why not? He's big, strong, smart, and moves well through traffic. His only drawback is his pass coverage. If he can learn the mental aspects of the inside LB coverage responsibilities then why would he not be trusted to man the position until something better comes along?

Depends on whether we can get somebody better to compete against him. Also factor in Burnett for next season. Will Burnett play well enough to start at either OLB or ILB; won't know answer until at least TC if not later in season since Burnett only coming on a little in last few games before his injury. BTW: Does anybody think there is a chance we should hire Dat as LB coach?? He certainly knows the position and what is required for a LB to make the move from college to NFL; how to study film, etc. Pay not what he used to but maybe Cowboys should see if he might be interested.

I liked Fowler's play last night... flying to the ball and making good tackles

he'll either be a decent starter after training camp/pre-season, or a good backup

He's exactly what you want for depth in a 3-4.

Can he be trusted with a starting job? We'll find our next summer.
