well, with all of the recent talk around here about him retiring after this year, who would you all(realisticly) like to come in and coach if the position opens?
Jimmy Johnson is the only coach I would rather have than Parcells.

Tressel, without a doubt, or Weiss but I don't think he'd even consider leaving ND.
I think Tressel's coaching style would translate well to the NFL.
I love Stoops, being an OU grad an all, but I don't think he'd do that well in the pros. JMO.

After 2 days of killing Parcells you get a chance to name the replacement you would like to have and that is the answer you come up with?????

I feel the same way....so Parcells better not retire.

Charlie Weiss (probably tied to ND for a long time)
Bob Stoops (doubt he would like Oklahoma on a down note)
Pete Carroll (Took Belichick a couple stops to get it right)
Dan Reeves (definitely has ties to Dallas)
Jimmy Johnson (If Parcells and Jones can get along then anything is possible)
Guys I don't want:
Martz (they guy is an jerk and not a good coach)
Mike Ditka (ties to Dallas, but stupid decisions aren't welcome)
Any other college coaches (we need someone with NFL experience unless its Stoops)

1)Mike Singletary (I'd rather see a 1st time head coach with a big name. Plus he's played in the league, very well I might add. So that would basically guarantee respect from his players)
2) Herm Edwards (if he's available)
3) Jeff Fisher (if he's available)
4) whoever the D-coordinator is for the Steelers(imagine the 'Boys using Roy the way they use Palomalo)
Those names may be from out of nowhere, but I just thought I'd throw out some names other than Weiss, Ferentz, Jimmy, etc.
The guy I would love to have as the head coach for the 'Boys would be Jack Del Rio. Needless to say he will not be available for quite a while. Hey, maybe he will be free when Tuna actually does retire. In 2 years!!!

Almost any of the above, as long as he brings a QB with him.
