Hitzges said that having a "one-year coach" is bad for a team...

He also said that Payton and Zimmer are likely looking for anything they can find fearing Parcells will leave and they will be swept out by the new guy.

He also said that Parcells has been flirting with going back to TV for 4 months now.

Norm also stated that Parcells tried the wishy-washy committment thing with the Pats and Kraft forced him out...

I think he said Stephen Jones will be on as well and he will pose him the question: "How uncomfortable is it around here with the head coach unwilling to commit to the team?"

No offense but this guy is way off on the Texas not facing a good passing team. When they faced TT, TT had the number one passing O in College atleast that's how it was talked about on College Game Day. This guy sounds like he thinks he's all that.
TT averaged 107 YPG rushing and 385 YPG passing Don't know about you but that looks like a passing team to me.

On the other hand USC averaged 316 YPG passing....

Maybe after Parcells leaves we can have thier kind of success.

Kraft was right...Don't put up with this wishy-washy crap...Sign the contract now or hit the road.

There will be life and good life after Parcells leaves...He's hardly the only coach that can get us to a Super Bowl.

i can't stand his voice.
i hate his sense of humor
but there isn't anyone who is smarter than norm, and is more willing to ask the tough questions in a polite way.

i respect the hell out of him overall.

He came up with this on his own? I am impressed. Perhaps we should hire him as a consultant to Mister Jones.

He also said that Payton and Zimmer are likely looking for anything they can find fearing Parcells will leave and they will be swept out by the new guy.

Then why have the Rams and Saints called us for permission?

I think he said Stephen Jones will be on as well and he will pose him the question: "How uncomfortable is it around here with the head coach unwilling to commit to the team?"

And he expects a straight answer.

This shock (or should I say, schlock) journalism really is begining to get on my last nerve. None of them, NONE, have a clue what is going on.

Except in their case,Bill put the team and the coaching staff from
his successful teams together,Belichek just took over with same staff,
What does this team have if Bill leaves?
Team with very good potential and no coaching staff=disaster

What I found most intresting and telling comment from that interview was when Stephen was asked about the assistants being under contract he said he didn't want to say any names but did say BP was there today working on getting the assistants in line for next year. Why would he be doing this if he where leaving knowing that who ever came in would prob change coaching staffs anyway....

What?

The night janitor get stiffed for his usual cookies at Christmas? Did Coach Parcells complain that it hadn't been vacuumed under his desk in weeks?

If that's true...It's God Awful!

Hell we got the 500 Coaches speech from Jerry after Jimmy was checking out the Jacksonville job...And he had 2 Super Bowls...Parcells has one playoff game.

Don't get Drunk Jerry!

On second thought do! :D

I agree. But sometimes Norm goes off on a tangent and rants about nothing. Or you wonder where the heck did he come up with that idea. So today, I think he was off a little on one of those.

Yeah he does.

I dont think he likes Bill Parcells, so I dont think he will give him the benefit of the doubt while he is here.

But is nowhere near as worst as Dale Hansen, that guy gets on my nerves sometimes.

I wish Norm was on ESPN
