interesting info on p. rivers

a good friend was out one evening and bumped into a guy that plays offensive line for the chargers. they talked for a while and my friend asked about rivers and if the chargers were blowing smoke when they said that they won't be trading him. his reply was that rivers 'kills' in practice and that the team should be serious about keeping him. i just thought it was an interesting perspective from someone who sees him practice every day.

Well remember, in 2004 it was Henson doing really good in Practice and then now its Romo. So yeah, he might be doing really well in practice, but so far, what I have seen in Pre-season or the game he played vs Denver in the last game, didn't impress me much.

But then Ben R didn't light it up in Pre-season or have a good first outing either. So you never know. I just don't like Rivers funky delivery first of all, and his long ball accuracy. He is pretty iffy on long balls.

Personally i'd think really strongly about moving in Rivers. I still am Biased against Brees and I dont think he can win the big game.

Its actually his step brother, but they are close so he just calls him brother. They have different moms :)

I would send San Diego a 2nd round pick. Nothing higher. They hurt Rivers's trade value by not trading him earlier. Who knows they might keep Rivers and let Brees go.
