He should have never showed up overweight. BP would never have cut him and he would have never set him to Europe. Unfortunately Blades work ethic will probably cost him his career.

I agree but when he made the comments about not having to work out during the off-season I lost a lot of respect for Blade. In college he was able to use his strength and size to dominate in the pros you have to work because the guys you’re facing are the best of what college could offer.

At this point who cares? He was a decent player for a small bit of time, easily replaced by a street free agent or late round draft pick - like Thomas Johnson.

:laugh2: Poor guy, no matter how bad or good the rest of his NFL career (or lack of one) turns out...he will always be remembered for his accident.

Willie Blade is probably not going to help this team. He has his best year in 2003 and probably his best game against the Eagles at Texas Stadium that year, was literally creating his line of scrimmage that game.
Parcells even went to his home and talked with his mama and papa and he still didnt get it.
Now that Parcells' drafts are getting alot older under the chin, we will not have to worry about guys like Willie Blade.

Wow...It seems like Parcells really sees something in him......Willie should get on the sub-way diet
It wouldn't surprise me to see him in camp. Haven't heard anything, but he played pretty good for awhile there in 2003.
An potentially career ending injury might wake a guy up.
Plus I need him back so I can pull out my Willie Blade sig pic again.
Willie Blade= A ghost from our drafting past:ralph:
