Thats not fair at all, White and Merideth are gone immediately leaving the age old (since Aikman retired anyways) question of Roger or Troy.
You need to consider apples against oranges here.
It will become a personal preference.
That said. Roger all the way. The greatest Cowboy (not named Tom Landry) to ever wear the star. Just my personal preference. But its still not fair.....
Troy was greatness and I love him, but Roger was true greatness. Both were first class, grade A citizens off the field. Both have turned into a success away from the game and both continue to provide a source of pride in our team and them personally.
You cant quantify these guys. There performance, there heart, their leadership, there character. there teammanship. Everything you want in a QB or player period for your team, was embodied in these men that came from seperate times and did the same thing in two different ways.
Wow, what a lineage to consider, then throw in the Danny Whites and Don Merideths and you have a history of glory, success and pride. No wonder non-cowboy fans really hate us. You look at reciver, RB, anywhere on the Defense, we can match anyones history, great player for great player, and blow many many franchises away in greatness. Many times in a shorter life span to date then the older franchises.
What a great feeling it is to be a Cowboys fan. Many teams fans will never feel like we do. What a shame.

Honestly, you can speed it up and go ahead and assume Staubach and Aikman are the finalists. While they have their fans, White and Meredith ain't winning anything above those fellas.

I am sure no love will be lost with this poll. Neither will be considered a loser after the results of the tournament are shown. The matchups were chosen randomly; literally drawn from a hat. I guess fate just matched up White with Aikman and Meredith with Staubach. Just be glad we have such great QBs to contest with
;)

For round 1, it's Aikman. Lets not forget the super bowl MVP, and three rings he brings to the table.
Kinda disappointed, where are all the recent greats we have had? (sarcasm)

Could you imagine in staubach and Aikman were grouped in the first bracket and White and Merideth in the 2nd. No matter how youstack the field, including Carter, Bledsoe even LeBaron, Its gunna come down to the staubach/Aikman bracket when ever they meet. That winner will win it all.

Wow...35-0 so far.
Looks like White has been KOed. You guys made some good points about the match-ups. If you guys want, we can just skip ahead and I will start the Aikman vs Staubach Final. I expected a little closer matchup between the first rounders though.

I don't want to pick between the 2 and as a Cowboy fan I don't have to. Both were great Cowboys who brought us SB championships. So why do we have to chose and the answer is we don't so I won't. Love Staubach and Aikman --now if Aikman overcomes Cowboy bias to make HOF--my world is complete. Not too many NFL teams have 2 HOF QBs and then we threw in how good Meredith & Danny White were and we indeed have had long history of QB greatness. And then there has been the years since Aikman; don't even want to think about that. What we going through since Aikman left is what most other teams have endured for years.

OK, I admit it was me.
It's just that DannyWhite (the poster) promised to give Ann Coulter a sammich so I thought I'd cast a vote for his namesake in his honor.

Can you imagine how much different this poll would be had Danny White won those three NFC championship games he took the team to? There is very little if any doubt that we would have won the Superbowls had we gotten past those NFC Title games.
But Alas...He Didn't win them... :o:
